Hi, Enjoyed my visit to your site. Interesting to read peoples notes on your photos too, I enjoy 'snap' photography, but would love to take it further. Jerry
Hi Buddy - I stopped by to see what was new. Nothing much new with me other than our St Martin shots in public and in Private folders.
I enjoyed some of my favorites - I could have left a comment about every photo - but would feel foolish doing so, and besides, I don't want you to get a big head - LOL.
Take care, Dan
--- Ed: Regarding the "what's new" part :) - I had a session with two models past week-end, 2/3/07. Will publish some works around 2/26, have a preview shot on my homepage under "Brown Skies".
Thank you for your very kind comments in my albums. I have stumbled upon a few of your photos in the past and decided I was not even worthy to comment. YOU are an outstanding photographer, sir. You have mastered light in a way I only dream of. Your comments in my ablums was a great moral boost.

Featured Album: "Eastern Light". Perfect in all ways. best regards, Pete.
I will have to gree with Natalie. by far the best Fotki site I have seen. I have a lot of content, but need to work on the flow of it all and presentation. Do you have foti alter the size of your photos when you upload them or do you leave them alone?
--- Ed: If I understood your question correctly - my photo size is set by me. I upload the photos in original hi-res format but in my account settings I chose a global photo size, so Fotki resizes them to that format. I may get a better custom resizing in dedicated photo editor, but for the purposes of Fotki display, I don't care much about their resizing method - it looks good enough for me.
It took me almost a year to come up with the current design and structure, so be patient with your plan. :) And I used to have many more personal life photos here but decided to split personal and professional work into two Fotki accounts, it became quite beneficial.
Your work is the best I have seen so far. I also really like the personal yet proffesional touch you have added to your fotki page. do you blog elsewhere as well. I find flickr faster and until I found your page SmugMug more professional.
--- Ed: Thank you for your kind review, Natalie, you will see other (and better) sites here… I chose this design to match my showcase website, ZorzStudios.com. It takes some time to encode the color palette into the customization tool, but it is possible. This very customization was what attracted me, in addition to other numerous features of Fotki. I found Flickr to be limited in organization and customization, although there is a great pool of photographers as well. As for SmugMug, I used them a bit, many good things about them but the problem was with their inflexibility. They follow very strict rules and aren’t keen on users’ suggestions. Finally, I’ve built a good and valuable circle of fellow photographers here already.
Your works are astonishing by all means, I’m impressed by their color balance and clarity.
I am not a fan of blog sites and don’t blog anywhere. Use online forums time to time, that’s all. And my language is spoken in the Central Russia by about 5 mln people.

"The Violinist", you have done a brilliant job with this album. Best regards, Pete.
Thank you, Ed. This is the main result of this test. We believe that fun will be back, together with the ability to comment on photos and prizes for winners.
We were colecting our users' feedback for quite a long period, and most of them critisized the old format severely. And they were absolutely right. Fairness of the contests was the main demand of Fotki members. Now we have achieved it.
Of course, we have much to do in the nearest future, and now fun is our primary concern.
Ed, your violinist album is beyond amazing. I don't know what to say really, I expect such photos in a top magazine. Congratulations on some truly amazing work!
