Hi, Ed! Yeah, I've been a busy shooter recently. No, photography is not my full-time gig, but it IS my full-time PASSION.
The Black Dress Project you saw on my site was pretty amazing, but as you may know, group shoots are hectic and always rushed, with models waiting in line to shoot with you (it's tough, I know). I started shooting at 8:30am and wrapped at 7 that night, 1300 shots later. Even THEN, I had several models coming up to let me know they brought some other outfits with them if I wanted to shoot some more.
Under normal circumstances, I would have, but I was hammered by that point, and had an 8am shoot with Sara (the leggy blonde in that folder), so I politely declined.
In the shot of me, you can see my newest toy - a giant softbox that has really added a whole new dimension to my lighting. I onlly had umbrellas and a brolly box up till last weekend, and that uber-soft light source was making me giggle all day long.
Ed, I got to browse through a few of your albums. WOW, I am so impressed by your work. I really like the photos you take and the post processing you do. It's classy, refined, subtle, beautiful. The photos you display are very well chosen, and your models are gorgeous in your photography.
I'll have to come back some other time to let you know my favorites.
I have just revisited some of your OUTSTANDING albums. Yours, Rich's and Lara Images were the first albums I explored when I joined last winter and were the ones that initially inspired me to become a better photographer. As I was learning the site features I was able to remember the album pages of Rich's and Lara Images but lost track on how to find your equally magnificent photographs and art studies. I was disappointed because your work with light and form captivated my mind and curiosity.
There are so many superbly shot and interpreted images that you will find me a frequent visitor here to learn and study. I hope you don't mind if I bother you with a question or two on some of your techniques and thoughts that you put into your creative process.
Just been having another look at your beautiful pics ...spend to much time here with you ...people will start talking soon...lol
so whens the next project coming .... I'm always hopeful ...:))))
hope life is treating you and your family well and that beautiful little girl of yours is bringing you both lots of fun and enjoyment ...
see ya ... Tiffany
--- Ed: Tiffany, viewing my work is innocent. :)
There are projects and I treasure yours and other viewers' interest. I am booked for the next two months, photographing and post-processing. Had one exotic session last week-end (preview posted), another packed one is tomorrow, a client's family photo gathering, two weddings, complemented by few sessions for friends and my daughter. Not all will be published but enough will be.
Ed, Thanks a lot for your comments in a beauty contest (Chicago picture). It's definetely nice to hear them from somebody who knows how to take good pictures. I appreciate your suggestions about the picture approvement. Julia P.S. Udachi:)
