I have a 1982 Ford F150, When the engine is not running and I hit the brake pedal the brake lights go on, but when I start the truck I have to step down on the brake pedal till it stops and then the brake lights come on. I have replace the brake light switch by the brake pedal. I am so confused.

My mom worked at Helms from 1950 until the bakery closed in 1969. I have really fond memories of that old truck coming up the street with all of the baked goods. My brother and I had a charge account (until Mom got the bill at the end of the month and took away our privileges!). A simpler time to be sure.
