Was behind you on Sunday 13 Feb 11 going into Carslile Pa. Didn't have the rig on but saw you turn off 614 I think it was, just about where 74 comes into it. Just thought I'd say hello. Big antenna on a small car.

    Hey Rick,
Came across your site while wandering the web. I came aboard the Blue Crew early 71' and stayed until the boat left for Newport News in 73'. I  was 1 patrol in the missile house and then in the forward torpedo room the rest of the time.
Great pictures: Robin Hood (lived on his boat one off crew), Ed Seebeck, John S, Gary Blandino, John Hagen, Bob Kasmire, Clay Lockerman, John DelRosario and more that I don't remember. I often wandered what happened to all of the great guys on the crew. Thanks for the memories.

    Best Regards,

Dick, I just came across your site!. Great Stuff!. I served with you aboard the Woody Woo from Dec '70 to Mar ' 73. I was an ET nuke (we didn't get to socialize much)

I'm leaving tomorrow for Indiana to visit Rick Berkmier YN3SS and Herb Roble MM3SS (A gang)

I'd like to meet you again to rehash old times. I live in Columbia, PA and it's only about a half-hour scoot to Mechanicsburg.

I don't get on the radio much, but the W3HZU tower is visible from my home....maybe we could schedule a QSO on the .97 machine

    Hope to hear from you,

    Hal Hartman

thanks for the photos. I recall you, Seabeck, Bates and some other faces.

I served as Blue crew medical officer Dec69 to May 71, so was aboard during these patrols. I was relatively skinny and bald. Lt Bumgarner, Don Grace, come to mind.

I recall the dispute with Captain Weber and XO Bud Keim about the face masks and beards, after CNA Zumwalt liberalized the dress code re facial hair in early 71.

    Hey Rick,

I really enjoyed viewing your Woody Woo album. I remember John Del Rosario, Billy Bates, John ? TM1, Kasmire, and Bear, but had trouble putting names to others that I recognized. I stood many watches listening to the Platters with Kas. Andy Suntag TM2 (SS) and I reported aboard around June '71 and completed 4 patrols before being transferred to the John Marshall. Thanks for the memories.

Great pictures, Dick, but all I saw were a bunch of old men. Must be the effects of TMI. Down here in the South we all stay young and trim.

Alive and well and still kicking,
    Rick
