i try not to photoshop any pics at all, it forces me to try and get the shots as perfect as possible in the camera. but i can really appreciate your talent and taking the time to spell out the process. :)
I respect photography and since I am not the one who takes great photos I appreciate talent of others. But I think you misunderstand and underestimate the real capability photoshop gives. If you learn photoshop it does not mean you do not care about taking perfect pictures in the first place. Just the opposite - as you go further in learning curve you start appreciating quality photographs as it gives you more flexibility in your creativity. Photoshop is not a "fixing" tool but the opportunity to take your creativity further and get your images to the next level. I have not seen even ONE picture anywhere in the "high-end" world which would not go through PS no matter how perfectly it was shot and how professional was the photographer. When you buy a perfect piece of meat you still cook it because it is great but still RAW. And you still add some sauce in the end. And when you buy your Maker's Mark you still put ice in your glass before drinking because it tastes greater with ice.
I am using CS 3 [because I have a very old computer], my son is using CS 4 [because he has a newer computer and he loves his PC games]. I am seriously looking to get the Mac Pro desktop. Trying to reduce my "footprint" with all the added HDDs. Plus I want the flexibility to easily and quickly integrate and use Final Cut Pro. Our industry is quickly changing and I want to be ready for it and with it.
Just got back from DC, got some cool night shots!!! Thanks for the translation and the hair tip. I just skimmed through it and will look at it more tomorrow!
Hi, thanks for all the info on photo-shop! I would love to know more about how to use layering and cut and pasting one image into another! I will be back to read more in your site!!!!
Great, it wouldn't hurt to put in the Collective Wisdom too, most of the trouble is most fotkins don't know those resources exist, even though fotki put it on the front page for us!
I just found this little treasure trove. I'll come back and learn some more.
Thanks
Peter
PS Have you got a link to this in the Collective Wisdom section? If not you should, or I will if you'll allow me, this is very helpful to a lot of us fotkins with only basic PS knowledge.
Hi Arti! I did not know you had this tutorial site until I saw your visit in my Guests. I added you here as I would like to check out the information. You are a multi-tasker aren't you?
IMHO
XD
Thanks!
