hope you dont mind that I added you as a friend; I read an interview you did with Black Girl with Long Hair online and your story intrigued me (not to mention that you have beautiful type 4 hair). That's an inspiration. I can somewhat identify with you being a Louisiana native who studied abroad in Lancaster, England in the fall of 2000 and noticed that race is not so much an issue there (like Denmark) as much as it is here in the States. They seem to embrace diversity. I am at the start of transitioning (last relaxer was October 2009) from an ultra short pixie cut to natural hair and have no regrets. Your growth is inspirational; I hope to learn more from simpler hair care methods b/c when I first started out I bought a ton of products and now want to scale back--- shea butter/castor oil mix as my "setting lotion" to rollerset on magnetic rollers when I airdry my hair is something new I have been trying and actually like the results so far.
