I never use a tripod. I have one but I'm way too lazy to carry it around and even more lazy to set it up. Almost all my telephoto lenses are image stablized so I really don't need one. The funny think is the picture you asked the question about is my only non stabliazed zoom.

If you have and questions or needs just ask. I love talking camera and pictures and helping in anyway.

With regard to your question, I don't use a tripod although I have one.. It's one of those cheap stuff that does not provide real stability. =)
