To answer your question regarding the CHI iron....I highly recommend the CHI. I love my CHI. I also recommend using the CHI silk infusion before you flat iron and flatironing in very small sections... it makes a huge difference for me. HTH

What I have done with my hair is very do-able. There is not one long haired sister that I have seen who does things differently. The only difference is the preferred products use. There is no magical product that works for all of us. Once you get your products staple down, it's how you apply them, that helps you to retain length.
