Bodium is interesting, have you been there ? The insides were destroyed by Cromwell to prevent it being used as defence but unusually they did not destroy the walls. It is quite a small castle I think principally to protect the lord and his family rather than local people.
I like the emotive feeling of those old buildings to imagine who stood where I am standing in the past.
