Just checking in. It has been a week since the surgery to implant a port. It seems to be healing OK. No problems because of it. I will be seeing the surgeon tomorrow for the first follow-up.
We couldn't touch (dang), no individual photos with him (double dang), and it was so quick no pictures taken by me. I was afraid I'd drop my camera anyway, being nervous/excited. I was just happy I didn't faint or throw up. LOL. When you entered the building, he was right there. No line snaking around inside to give you the opportunity to snap some photos. It was a very, very small place. I was happy to get a smile and a few seconds of conversation out of the visit. He is VERY handsome in person. LOL. I did met some nice Stewart fans in line and we talked about the season, what we think will happen at Stewart-Haas next year, having to buy new race gear, etc.
My brother took one or two pictures that he will send to me via email soon and I will post.
Take care, Sue _________________ Yes, more handsome in person and he was clean shaven, with a 5 o'clock shadow. ______________ Niiiice.....
Guess who I saw yesterday at an autograph session at J.D. Byrider in Pinellas Park? Hint: he drives an orange car that is sponsored by a home improvement chain. :-)
Thanks a lot, Susi, for your lovely comment on my Solitude competition entry. It is so nice to get your support. Hope you have now fully recovered from your surgery, and are getting out to snap some lovely scenery again. And it won't be long until you are in Europe...... Slainte Myra
It´s a place with view I´ve chosen for the wine-party. Not so enjoyable today with rain and coldness, but very nice summertime. The bar is very simple but quite nice together with friends.
Hi Susi, Here is a photo op on Saturday, November 1st. It is a bit on the expensive side.
Train from the Danbury Railway Museum up the Housatonic valley to Kent. Spend some time in Kent exploring and lunch, then return to Danbury. Good for Fall colors and some interesting things around Kent. The expensive part is the cost: $50.00 per person.
Glad to hear you're feeling better Susi. Feeling a lot better myself. Not perfect yet, but getting there. Also glad you'll be back to taking pics again. I've been going through a slow period myself, but you picked a good time to make a visit, because I was really busy with the camera yesterday and got some pretty good shots. If I do say so myself. I'll check back on you real soon !
Hi Susi Thanks for the message; I'm sure you will make it to Scotland some day, and I will be there to meet you :-) Meantime, enjoy Europe!!!! Slainte Myra
><><>< me too - like I said to you in your gb - while at the office bogged down with paperwork I put it on on the pc and listen and watch my little guys - I love it....
