Hey girlfriend - how's it all going - OK - so we've calmed down some after the horrific happenings here at Yale and the young girl was brought home to CA to be buried by her grieving family. So much to put in your brain when you work right here and absolutely everyone you work with and speak with daily was affected. All of New Haven was grieving - the new Police Chief did a fantastic job with keeping it all calm and professional as they kept him in watch for the full week before they took him into custody. He was being followed 24/7... Well, Mom is out of the hospital thank you and now sister Reeni is having her second lung surgery in one month. She is having the other lung done now - she's only a year older than me and lung cancer was found but it is operable..Nodules that could be cut out...???...no chemo or radiation...thank goodness....oh, Frank - my "son" has to have surgery ... protruding disk in his neck...yes, fooling around in the pool someone shoots a football and hits him dead on in the face, spins his neck and its all bad from there ... a single second of a ball hitting you in the head/face - his head turns quickly and the disc is now needing surgery....gees, can you tell lots been going on up here for me...which is why I haven't been on in here in a long time...put the Newport pics in but thats it...its crazy....I'm crazy....or maybe if I'm not, I will be soon...lol...I'd better laugh to get thru it all. Hey Missy - glad you enjoyed the Atlanta experience - I myself was away in Newport, RI for 5 days and had a most fantastic time. Fell asleep last night watching the race - have no idea who won - my Mom is back in the hospital - we had 911 come and take her out yesterday from the house about 7:00 pm. Gees, it never ends !!! I guess your happy that Smoke won, but I wasn't so happy with the way it was done. Hi Sue: Happy 4th of July - Kris wrote some comments on the Loudon pics and went in as a guest.....I had to delete them....if you were to click on her name Kris...it opened into my personal e-mail which is not a good thing...I tried to log out and then try it again...it still opened into my personal e-mail account....as a guest it should go to the person's account leaving the comment so you could send her a note....so I asked Kris to go back in and use "anonymous" to leave messages...I don't understand it at all....has this happened to you.... Hey, I sent her the pic of her with the "guy" from the parking area....wait till you see it....I can't post it in the public album...lol..... Hope you have a great 4th....I'm actually heading up to the hospital to visit my Mom...she probably won't get released until Monday or Tuesday.
Hey there missy - yea - it sucks that the airfare is so high for you right now - we've already booked our rooms for Saturday - don't want to travel early on Sunday and we really got decent prices....we'll be able to hang out up at the track on Sat and then get a good night sleep and head over on Sunday for the race....its a half hour drive from Red Roof Inn in Salem, NH to the track...I also will stop at the liquor warehouse and pick up some liquids (ha) to take back home - its something Richy and I always did when heading to the track - the prices are really cheaper.... so sorry you can't be with us to have a few laughs and watch hopefully a great race...did she tell you I might drop Jr and go in another direction....he's just no fun anymore.... talk more later Hugs Susi
Doh I missed the race, will have to see if I can catch highlights. Hes doing loads better than last season already eh, obviously he made the right move to set up on his own team.
Am well, we are getting a bit of a summer here now, although still rains now and again!
Hey there Sue - first of all - Congratulations on Smoke winning the Pocono 500 - I just got home to see the last 7 laps....wow..... And thanks for getting me those phone numbers.....now I will write them all down....we had the best day in weather until about 15 minutes ago...the clouds have come in but thats ok...we had a great day at my sisters' house celebrating another sisters birthday....she lives out in North Branford.... I've already placed a call to Kris and left voicemail....she'll be in touch I'm sure as soon as she gets home.
Hey there Sue: Well, I volunteered at Yales' Commencment Ceremonies today and it was grand....sooooooooo many people and kids in gowns & caps....and yes, Hillary Clinton was given a Doctor of Law degree.....she received such a wonderful welcome...everyone standing applauding and yelling for her....she was full of smiles....I've got pics....need time to work on them....I'm shot....too much all weekend long for me with no rest time.... Come see the pics I put in from Friday night ----- hey, Kris just called. She was at a party last night when all the bad weather went thru but they didn't get any damage from the winds. Take care - I see the race is on yet another rain delay - gees - I tried to watch it last night - now this afternoon ???? I'd like to relax and watch a race if they'd show it..... Hey there girlfriend - it's Sunday night and its been busy with no let up yet - the party Friday night was such a huge success....everyone had a fantastic time....Kris really enjoyed herself too and I've invited her to do other get-togethers with my friends too...we do happyhour usually once a week...and we've already planned next Friday's at Eli's in Hamden... We had a tornado scare here today .... bad thunderstorm rolled thru with quarter size hail and heavy winds... here in Hamden we only got winds and rain...thank goodness and then it was gone within a couple hours. I've got Commencement at Yale University tomorrow early so I'm off after I write to you...Hillary is speaking and receiving an award...she is a Yale Law Graduate...I'm psyched...I've got the camera ready to go... Talk more later...again, wish you lived closer...flying back and forth would get pretty expensive. Hugs Susi
Hey there - no rain for us this week - we've got 70's - 80's and tomorrow should be fantastic. I've opened the balcony and probably 15 - 20 girls are coming to the party. Kris is definitely coming too...I've given her directions...she's really not far from my place at all.... I'm heading to Costco after work today to buy the foods, and hit the liquor store for all the wines and coolers...it should be a fun time...wish you were up here too.
I saw on the news all the rains you guys are getting...hey, we had enough up here so its your turn....thats only fair...lol...
Am so busy, am at work right now...we've got Yale's Commencement on Monday...I have volunteered to help...plus being the a/p dept we have ALL the prizes and awards for the students to be done by Friday...yikes...

Yes it is the campers that you saw on the interstate! The day that I wanted to take pics of these things it just so happen that they were working on the highway and all the road equipment was park in from of the campers so I ended up just doing the best that I could with what I had for a good shot! I cropped out all but what you see in the pics!!!!#%$@%$*&^*%$^$%$# I will have to go again some day soon and try again!!!! I don't like stopping on the interstate but this is a shot that I must have!!!! I will use my wide angle lens for it!
