I,ll never forget us yelling in the radio to pull up. After he hit the ground I was one of bunch of marines picking up the wreckage I found his body .To this day I still hate good fridays. I wish we could have gotton him to pull up.

Hello All Delta 1/7 Marines, Our Delta 1/7 Vietnam Marines 1965-1970 Reunion will be held in San Antonio, Texas, on September 24, 25, & 26th of this year 2010. This is an annual reunion for all Delta Company 1/7 Marines, Marine Corpsmen, Marines that were attached to us, and Family and Friends ours. We will have a great time together getting reaquainted with our Marine Brothers and their families. We have found that this gathering, of our Marines Brothers, that were together with us in Vietnam, so long ago, is a very healing experience. For more information contact me at; gjschneider2@blomand.net We do hope you will be able to come to our Reunion. Take care. SEMPER FIDELIS George Schneider/Delta 1/7 GRUNT.
By now I'm sure you all know that the New Orleans "SAINTS" are The Superbowl XLIV Champions. Congradulations to all the "WHO DATS". Next year it's here NOW!!
I am so sorry to hear of Neil's passing. He did a great job here putting all of this together for us. He made it possible to enjoy great memories for me as well as a lot of others here.
I know Neil will be at the 1-7 Reunion in Richmond May 2010 in spirit. I know his wife Sonya and daughter will be there in person. I hope all those who read this, too will be there. If not now, when? This will be my 4th, after Charleston 2000,DC 2002, Orlando 2006. The weekend goes so fast but time seems to stop. To see, hear the stories and shake the hands of so many great Marines is an honor that I truly treasure. The few the proud you guys. See ya all next Spring.
to Neil, Pappy, Larry Looby, Mike Wyman, Jim Witt, Jake Cadena, Ed Jackson, Glen Savelle, Burchett, Marty, awe I can't go on. To those still here and those gone I love ya all. Great Marines, good men and brothers all. joe, delta,co. Sept. 68-May 69. Gun squad.
Great pictures, sorry I couldn't thank Neil sooner.
Sonya I am so sorry. A piece of my heart is gone today. I was fortunate to know Neil for nine years. He brought so much joy and happiness to me. I'm just sitting here staring at the platoon picture. He was one of the few, the proud. I'll never be the same. bob witt
I did not know Neil, he served with my Uncle Sam "Pappy" Kendall. So sorry to hear of his passing. To his family my thoughts and prayers and with you. Patrica slate
