Looking at the sort of rock in all those pictures tells me you are sitting on a tectonic plate and theres a volcano nearby or directly under that area somewhere.

That limestone with quartz schistsz and chalk is a form of seabed that usually is found mixed with basalt and was formed by volcanic mud boiling up from some hot volcanic springs.
