Hey, Keith here on a cool Georgia night (Octo 13, 2009). The photos of that ancient and patinaed red vette are a real trip. I can't imagine finding something like that and arguing about restoring it versus keeping its patina. Tough, tough decision. May I post these over on http://www.motorburg.com ? I'm a member and a car artist over there. They'll be amazed! Just let me know. Thanks again.
redlinetoys, I found your Fokti on the HAMB at the 1955 Chevy Gassers Owners thread. I just added a jpeg there of "The Addict". It would be great if you could add it to your site. post #150 Alan
i love you photo album , i have been messed up for life because our friends or family had a GASSER,to date i have had over 200 street rods of all falvors. You think crackheads have a addiction problem, try the smell of burning rubber and JP4,thanks again for your pixs i will tell all my rodder buds, mentally hot rod challeneged,Mike
Thanks for turning me on to your great pictures at PU. I wanted to see the shadow flames on Lee's Camaro. They turned out great. You know I was busy partying with the Monks!

Thanks for sharing these trifive gasser pics. This is an incredible collection. Phil, TriFive.com member.
You just did Falfa. Thanks for the compliments. PS, my personal 55 is in the "El Diablo" folder just below the gassers, and I guess you can see that I can appreciate these cars slammed or sky high, either way. Both are cool for different reasons, but the gassers have a soul that is hard to argue with. Happy Motoring and please send pics! --Bob
this site is amazing. i've been viewing for months and am still only halfways through.i can only imagine the amount of time and effort it takes to put something of this scale together.im on my third 55 chevy gasser build.my first one was a guessing game, but i have got more excellent ideas off this site than i can mention.i recenlty picked up another solid 55 post candidate and its going to be radical thanks to the ideas i got off of this site. for what its worth,i would like to thank the guy that put all this together. you may not realize it but you are providing us with with a lot of invaluable answers to our questions.thank you!!! and keep up the good work!!! Very nice site. Reminds me of the good ole days. Do you happen to have a picture of a 55 Nomad called Wompin Wagon. It belonged to a guy named Lyde Wageis from Lou.,Ky..
Sorry, I can't help. I would suggest you go to local car shows and search for interiors you like. Then speak with the owners to see if they were done locally, and if they are satisfied with the quality and price. Good luck!
Thanks so much for pictures of the tri-five gassers. Brings back memories from when I was a much younger gearhead. Would be cool to see some early 60's gassers as well.
AMAZING.I spent 2 nights on the gassers.I just spent tonight on El Diablo.Time well spent.I have been a 55 junkie or over 40 years.I can't get enough of them.I have them in every scale.1/87 all the way to 1:1.Thanks for putting this together. Tom
Mine is a 69 block. Not sure about any differences between it and later blocks. I am using a cast aluminum polished Cloyes timing cover. The PJ gear drive has a pin through the center of the main gear that is designed to be ground down slightly until it just fits behind whatever timing cover you are using. The exact dimensions are not overly critical. You just grind it and trial fit it until it fits comfortably behind your cover and doesn't walk forward and back. It comes with instructions and I did not use an "installation kit". Fairly simple install. Good luck!
