Hallo Heike,

Enjoyed your albums and will come back again to finish looking!

Great color, lighting, and composition. Your camera takes pictures with the best of them!

Hello Heike....thanks for your visit and explanation. I had no idea it had something to do with the construction substance of the diode. I thought all diodes were silicon dioxide based. Perhaps there are "additional" things in the mix. Your explanation was clear to me........but only because I know about transitioning of electrons from one energy level to another. I remember an interesting story I heard professor Richard Feynman tell. He was talking about a question his father once asked him about photons and how they were generated. The question was.....are the photons generated due to the motion of the electron or are they already "in there" and are released when the electron transitions? (of course, they are generated by the motion of the electron) He used the analogy that the words he was saying at the moment weren't "in" him, but were generated as they were needed. His daughter, for example, once said that she could not say the word "cat" because her word bag had run out of that word. Cool analogy.

BTW......I, for one, like the idea you have about greater explanations on some of your photos. To those of us with a bit of background it would be great. To others I think it may be "over the top" if you get what I mean. If you choose not to do it........those of us with an interest can always ask, right?

Thanks again for your visit and reply.

Professor, I am afraid I should have started at level 1 not level 2. I could only identify 12 of the 20 objects. I need remedial assistance in the dark arts but Ms. Granger is too involved with the Weasley boy to help me. Do you know of any good tutors?

Frohe Ostern
