You know, there is a part of me that wants to experience true dreadlocks at least once in my life. Now that I am shadow-fading, this would e the time before allowing it to grow back down my back.
Lemme check out this good stuff you got going on here.. Now, I just have to find a way to get back into Nappturality.. like Fotki, it seems to have deleted my whole profile. Boooo!
Congrats and thanks for stopping by! 18 mo into the game, I have two that refuse to loc and stay in the pattern. I have combined all of my micro and small locs. Now I have brotherlocs , which I love the size very much.
I` am here in the states supporting you! Keep me posted!
Hey sistah, Thanks so much for stopping by. Your beautiful sisterlocks are really coming along. You're too right about why I trimmed back a couple rows of locks from the back of my head. I also had a fleeting moment where I thought I might chop my locks to a different length, but I (thankfully) talked myself out of it before too much damage was done!
Hey girl, I believe slippage is when most of the pattern in the loc has slid out. I had a few like that where it seemed like I had major new growth but in reality the loc was coming undone. If the entire loc unravels your consultant will just have to start that one all over. I had that happen to a few near my ears. I just left them alone until I went back, she put them back into the Sisterlock pattern and I was all good. Until I locked completely those few by the ears would continue to unravel!! So frustrating. Now, are you banding?? I hated it, but I did it for the first 5 months. I didn't braid because my hair was super short when I started, so I would bunch about 10 of them together and just rubberband them. Another mistake I would make would be to take the band out before my hair completely dried.. I guess that's why I had some slippage. I hope this helps!
Hey Nova Beauty...I hope you don't mind me adding you to my friends list.. I have been Sisterlocked close to 3 years now and I still get excited when I see a fresh new set of Sisterlocks. Thanks for sharing!
