"Wow", what trip down memory lane you have made here. I am an old pit crew member of Wayne Loomis when Dewayne Woodward drove for him in the old 46 car, we ran San Jose most every Saturday night after racing Kearney Bowl in Fresno on Friday, I loved San Jose track, sure sad that had to take her down. Keep the memories going Marty. A fan of yours for sure, Bucky Bolton

Thx. for taking the time to share all the pictures and articles at West Capitol. I feel I have missed out on some great Dirt Track history as I was at San Jose Speedway weekly back in those days...
Thanks for sharing the Calistoga photos. This past weekend took us back to days of some great racing. Bonnie Chisholm West Capital Raceway Alumni Assn.
Hi Marty, thanks for adding me to your friends list! So far I'm really enjoying your super modified album! California 70s? By the way, was that you that sent me those Studebaker bodies a while ago? I've lost tack. If so, thank you! I will start building on one of those, soon, as soon as I clear my workbench a little! C'mon over to my site and say hello some time! Slim
Marty, great site. I grew up and also raced in the San Jose Speedway era. Loved your photos, seen a couple of myself too. If you are able to find Racing Wheels from 1985, early March or April would be gret. Keep it up, I will look at this site often,Thanks for the memories. Joey
Good stuff. Love that you keep adding to it. I've mentioned, and made a link to the auto racing photo albums at my blog: www.befastpast.blogspot.com cheers, bfp
