I was pleasantly surprised to be able to pick up the two fractal sites from your guest book. I have been curious about them for a long time since I first saw Helena Paule's work. Maybe some day I will have the time and patience to learn how to do them. Thanks! Jim
Hi hun. Thanks for the comment on my photo in the Glamor competition. I was tentative about posting it, but it seems to have been well received. Couldnt be bothered with a boots pic as my remote for the camera is not working. And see my avatar for a more Marlene Deitreich type shot. You have me thinking here *wink* Thanks again, much appreciated. Jo. x
Thank you so much for your kind comment Napomo on my Thanksgiving "still life entry". I am very flattered to be complimented by such a terrific photographer artist such as you. It's late right now and time to shut down, but I did have a brief peak at some of your work and it is all beautiful and very professional. I will try and make time to visit tomorrow evening so I can add a few comments here and there in your wonderful albums.
To all who arrive here to ask me what fractals are ..... don't feel this or that .... I wasn't much wiser when I heard the first time about fractals from a friend. I never made one and thus wont submit one myself (Update: I think i'll submit ... tried some of the software and it's fun !).
It just happened that I found fractals on some Fotki accounts and some were so gorgeous that I thought it would be great if the people who are skilled in that can introduce their art in a contest. I have not much clue about it rather than what a friend explained to me and what I found out online.
To get an impression what it is about you best visit
Hey thanks napomo, I went to the sites that you found. They were most helpful! I also did some research on my own. I think what i've come up with is going to work...as far as being accepted and liked well, that might be a different story. Anyway, thank you for helping. sunbean :)
I get a bit slack checking my PO Box for mail, but guess what I found there?
Snoopy socks and a really cool table mat & all those cool Snoopy stamps!!!
Thank you SO much, that is SO nice of you.
What a great medium fotki is that we could become good friends & we haven't even met yet!
I don't think I've chatted since the fotkin friend contest, but I was a bit disappointed there were so few entries. It would be great if maybe they'd run another one down the road a bit. Anyway I had a lot of fun and I know all the others did too.
Hello Napomo, I was just wondering if you could help me with the fractal entry? Is it that everything has linear symmetry, for example a leaf has excellent proportion, so a picture of a leaf showing its equally divided sides would work? I'm not very articulate when it comes to explaining or getting out what i'm trying to say...did I make any sence? Pleasse HELP!!!! :( sunbean
Hi Napomo Thanks for your visit, and for answering my recent questions. Thanks also for the wonderful and interesting comments, your comment about the Gherkin in London is just great; I could not have put it better myself. However, I must show it to my husband, who liked the building. The problem is its position, too close to other buildings. However, you put it much better than I could. :-) Have a lovely Sunday.
