Thanks, Napomo.... I have to tell you, I fret over my entries into the contests, making sure they "fit" the criteria first and foremost... and I know others do as well. But some of these people just seem to throw in anything on a themed contest and yet, no one (majority of voters) seems to take notice.

Likewise, the amount of poor photos that get relatively high votes is frustrating. Crooked horizons, poor exposures, etc. I just wish people would pay attention to the finer details when they vote... photography in and of itself should be a person striving for perfection in a shot. That doesn't mean a photo has to be perfect, just show that at least you are trying. Carelessly snapping photos isn't what photography is all about. Especially when you want to compete with your work.

But alas, it is what it is.... and thanks for your kind comments!
