Hi Mike, Pleased to see you have your intelligence force in top gear!! But who's playing fast and loose with my favours? And you all being married men!!!! Tut tut, boys, a little decorum please!! ( You needed to bring a Foden to Banbury to get a bosie from me along with your appearance plaques! I only had one refusal and that from a silly young loon.) Foden Fan
You're quite right, I will behave myself! My wife told me to! (he,he!) Mr Munkle - (15/07/08)
If its Jimmer Bruce you are wondering about then I'm fairly sure he retired late 2006, early 2007. I'm not 100% certain but my info came from a guy who did some relief driving for him. It would certainly account for Mike no longer seeing his motor in and around Peterhead.
Thanks, Mr Munkle - (15/07/08)

Jim Bruce (Peterhead) has been an owner driver for a long time now.(Ex-Ewan Booth) Currently he has a DAF XF and an immaculate fridge van trailer, he was running abroad but I haven't seen his lorry for a while, I'm not sure where he is right now! Mr Munkle - (15/07/08)
Good morning Mike, The other half asks if you know Jim Bruce, if so have you heard of him lately, as he hasn't seen Jim on the road for while? Regards, Foden Fan (hi to the Postie! maybe you know Jim too.)

hi mike, aye i'm deein fine.i jist winnered if ye hiv been watchin' 'ice road truckers' on sundays, channel 5,1200 to 1300.it's a aboot larries cairrying goods and some abnormal loads in the frozen wastes of canada, across frozen lakes.they've only a certain time tae dee it ,afore the thaw comes.it's a' for de beers diamond mines.the risks are great, bit the money's fantastic.'the dash for the cash' as ae driver pits it. drivers come fae a' ower tae try their luck, makkin' a years wages in twa months.there is some 'wechts' among them.
I have seen some of these programmes. The bit I dinna like is fan the ice starts crackin' underneath the Larries, it must be aboot 100ft straight doon! I dinna fancy that, and a few have gone down to Davie Jones inside their trucks! Na, it's nae for me! The big money is one thing, bit ye hiv only one life, is it worth the risk? I suppose each driver wid hiv tae answer that for themselves! It's still a fascinating programme, a' the same! Mr Munkle - (30/06/08)
Thanks for the "word", inwardly digested and destroyed in true 007 style!! Marjorie.
