Good morning MikeThanks for stopping, and for your interesting (as usual) comments. I have replied as necessary. We are having a spell of nice weather after a very cold springtime; our garden is at least a month behind, and our tulips are just coming out (they should be over by now). We go off to the island of Majorca off the coast of Spain in a week or so, to walk of course (although we will take the aeroplane there) and we are hoping for a bit of sun and heat.Hope you are well. Hi MikeThanks for visiting my Flickr......it is all rather new to me, and not so user friendly as fotki...... I have no idea how comments work, or if indeed they can be left on a free account. SlainteMyra
Hi Mike, I'm glad Doug's collection went to someone worthy. You're right - he did buy the best. The Japanese kits alone were worth big bucks! I will miss him and his work at NNL's in the future. Take care and thanks for the update! Bob
Hi Mike, I just saw your posting in Doug Macbeath's guestbook. I'm sad now. Doug was a great guy and an awesome modeler! I'll miss visiting with him at the Milwaukee NNL model car show. Have you ever gone to that show? I see you were his brother-in-law. I know he was divorced but don't know if he ever remarried. Was there anyone to take care of his model collection? I hope someone wanted it and didn't just throw it away.
Hi MikeThanks for your visit and your comments, which I have answered. You have been getting a lot of snow, don't shovel with too much enthusiasm, keep well. Unfortunately our two weeks spell of wonderful sunny weather seems to have ended and today we are back to rain!SlainteMyra
he had it out on the track last season for the oldies (?) events...I have to ask him exactly what it was...I just showed up and photographed him out there, I don't know what they called the event. Susi B
Just found out it was a NEAR event in Waterford, CT for vintage race cars...we ended up getting rained out that night and it was rescheduled - I didn't go back for the second event.
Hello again - come and check out the pics I have of my Uncle who was inducted into the NEAR Hall of Fame this past Nov. He raced - modifieds, midgets, etc in his career - which ended when he was just 48 (after winning a major race) - the album is called: Uncle Sparky gets inducted into the Hall of Fame
Hi Mike - thanks for the links provided regarding the Cobras - my brother Richy built his from the inside out - I am sending him your links to the other sites as well. We love cars in my family - whether it be racing or driving....take care, enjoy your week. Susi in CT
Yes Mike, these are two shots. In any of the combinations we did during this set, I coached Melissa into position where the foreground and shadow didn't interfere in the up or down pose. Then combined them in post. Really simple to do but a whole lot of fun! :)
