Trying the natural thing for the second time and this time I insist on not going at it alone. I've found a lot of inspiration here. I move around a lot due to my job so it's not easy finding a salon that embraces "Nappy". I would like to have as much natural hair as I can before the big chop...I really don't want to do the "boy look". Can you give me a few hair tips for maintaining both textures without having to cut all my hair off?

Hey there! thanks for stopping by. I don't do anything to my coils.. they just fall that way. I do leave a dab of conditioner in my hair tho.. which works really well. Can't wait to see your hair when you're all natural! How long have you been transitioning now..?

sup girl! i've been doing tea rinses with black pekoe tea (or something like that). Pretty much I use whatever tea my mom has lol. I use three tea bags to about 6 cups of water.
I also put a couple of cracked garlic cloves in my conditioner...this is really smelly though so i prefer the tea rinses.
I still shed a little but its not too bad.
