I am searching for information on Charles Lott Richman born in 6 Feb1800 in Woodstown NJ.  He is my 2nd great grandfather.  I have no information on his father or mother.  His son is Charles H. Richman born1828 in Oswego County NY.  I have ordered these picture: I feel they could be related to me as well.  If anyone has information the the names listed above please email me at mailto:star54@swbell.net.

I have been to Mount Vernon, it did not look as well as it does in your pictures. The care takers were nice chaps, not very talkative, but then one has to consider the location they are in. There are quite a number of prominent Philadelphia citizens interred at Mount Vernon, artists, composers, lawyers, doctors, academics of all sorts, business people - among of which Philadelphia merchant John Wanamaker's parents, Nelson and Elizabeth Wanamaker and many others
I have never been able to determine as to the ownership of this cemetery, there must be a legal entity out there somewhere.

these are terrific photographs. Charles is my great uncle (brother to my maternal grandmother, Dorothy Richman Wade). My mom's cousin wrote a family history of the Richmans while at Princeton. My great-grandfather (Charles' and my grandmother's father) did a lot more than establish an ice cream manufacturing facility, brand and distribution. He was also a real estate investor (for example, Brigantine) and was involved in local Philadelphia politics.

I didn't recognize any family members in your photographs based on the photos my grandmother had given to my three sisters and me but thank you for posting them - they are beautiful nonetheless!
