Thank you for your nice comments on my Alps album. It was taken on September 2005. I have many more shots from that trip that I will upload later (I'm quite busy nowadays so you will see me less on Fotki... but don't worry! I will not disappear :)).

I'm happy that you liked the BW photos. Not everyone likes them. I wasn't much into BW myself, but I used it because the photos were too bright. After I played a bit with Photoshop, they looked artificial, until I converted them to B&W.

Some people can do magics with Photoshop, but for us busy people it's better to just shoot good photos :). My first photography tip for you is to use a polarizer filter. It helps you esp on a sunny day. You get blue sky instead of white without it. I use the polarizer all the time since I returned from Italy. It's the only filter I use.

OK now let's just hope that you will find some time to realize your new year resolution :).

One of my favorite books is Siddhartha by Hesse. I've read it several times at different ages and it always has some new insights. The Buddha quote I have on my site fits the book so well. Even though Buddhism (and I think I am referring to Tibetn Buddhism) is strict and ritualistic on so many levels, there is that sense of freedom and trust in oneself that I find amazing. The Dalai Lama remains an inspiration for me. And I found apocryphal writings very liberating and inspiring as well...I love some of the sayings in The Gospel of Thomas. I am also curious to read the Gospel of Judas. Did you read them? And which book(s) on Buddhism did you recently read? I have one by Robert Thurman (Uma's dad...how cool!) which I only read through, I found it very demanding. But that was a few years back, maybe I'm wiser now. :-)

I have an avatars album featuring Mona, it's in the Photoshop folder. She's such fun to work with.
Hope your weekend is not too crazy...that's the kind of weekends I've been having since as far as I can remember. All week looking forward to some rest and fun and then it turns out there's more work and stress than ever. Suddenly, Monday doesn't look half bad. :-)

This is a long shot...... I know you have influence at fotki...... For a long time, since two years ago, I have asked them if they can show my camera info with my photos, as other people have. They keep telling me they will add my camera at the next update, or within the week, but nothing happens. Can you help? People keep asking me for camera details, and I know other people have them there automatically.
Any help would be appreciated.
