Hi Iggy and many thanks for your visit and your comment about Salzburg! I got so busy lately with all my dear friends from webshots landing here in Fotkiland!! It is so good seeing them You did a wonderful and warm welcome for them...:)))! Best wishes - Trixi:)
This may help your size problems. Go to your account, fine albums, then photoview size. Increase this to whatever you want. I have mine set at 700 x 700.
Thank you for adding me to your friends list, I did the same! Viviane :)

Hi Iggy, thanks for the comments....I loved my Nikon Coolpix 990 and the 950..but last week I treated myself to a Canon EOS 350D Digtial SLR with an 18 - 55mm EF-S lens and also a 70 - 300mm EF lens both auto macro/zoom ..so am looking forward to putting it through its paces in Austria this week..will catch up on my return...thanks again for the comments...

Hi Iggy Many thanks for the welcome message in my GB. Very nice of you. Like several others in the last few days I have come over from Webshots, where I have been a member for three years - it's not so much disloyalty as disaffection with a system that seems to be heading off in the wrong direction. My first impressions here were so favourable - there is such a nice "feel" about Fotki - that I straight away took out a 12 month premium membership and am looking forward to getting to know yourself and other members. One major problem so far is making my albums available for all to see. I have hit the PUBLIC button and entered YES to every question in the MY ACCOUNT section, but still people say they can't get to see my pics. So obviously I am doing something drastically wrong here but can't for the life of me work out what! Any ideas? Best wishes, Peter
Hi Iggy, Thanks for visiting and yes, I will report as asked! I don't get much of them lately...now that I am thinking of it...I did not get them at all for the last few weeks I think. So, whatever you were doing...it works! BTW...I see we have a few interests in common! Thanks, Viviane

Thank you, Iggy, for your nice reply to my BLOG entry. Also for your nice welcome to Fotki. I am serious about my photography and am looking for a "home" where I can have my work displayed in excellence. This may be it! Appreciate your discussing on Monday an "Extended Trial" for those of us who are coming over from Webshots, so we can have enough time to add albums and really check out Fotki. Please let me know. Also, my question was: When I go to view someone's album, I open it, then I click on the first thumbnail and it opens into the beautiful large thumbnail to view. I then click on "next" to move on after leaving my comment, and it opens into a smaller tiny view with no PHOTO. So, I have to click on "NEXT" and it will go to photo #3, open large thumbnail, and I then have to click "Previous" to see the photo #2 that didn't open. Whew! Am I clear here? Difficult to write all this. Anyway, why can't I just go to "next" "next" etc. and each large thumbnail open up? HELP. Linda (I don't always like to view slideshow, because I like to leave a comment on individual photos)

Hi Iggy, thanks for your comments and advice...it is much appreciated....I am beginning to like my new home, but after 7 yrs on Webshots I am just taking my time to get used to the different features here on FOTKI, but you're stuck with me for at least 3 yrs now..lol
Hi Iggy! Thank you so much for your kind explanations and your welcome message. I think it will take me some time to be familiar with all the features here. But I'm trying:) Have a great Sunday, Rosa
Thank you so much for replying me in the blog, and esp for signing my guestbook! For your convenience, this is what I wrote in the blog:
"Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed reply! I want to second each of Yair's words. It is fantastic to have a site team combined of people who actually use it, and your quick and serious replies are most helpful and appreciated!!
Of course I still have many more questions and requests :-). I will try not to ask too restrain them from flowing too fast. My question now is about what you said "experiment with different parameters of member and photo searches". What photo parameters are there? Or did you mean tags? What parameters are available for searching photos with a certain tag? And if there aren't any, will there be such the future? I'm thinking of popularity, resolution, date, camera model...
OK that was one question :-).
Have a nice weekend, Orly
P.S. I don't think that developing a Hebrew interface is one of the most urgent things to do, given the small number of Hebrew speakers, the average good knowledge of English among them (or Russian among many) and the problems which probably exist with incorporating right-to-left text with left-to-right text.
But I do like the global spirit here very much."
I'd be happy if you reply me in the blog. Perhaps this should be a new subject?
