Chump Car was at RA this weekend.  Kinda chilly.......first time I ever photographed a race in snow.  Good thing it didn't last too long.  Looking forward to warmer weather.  See you at the track this summer.

Hey GoPack............I stumbled on your site accidentally and eyeballed your Road America stuff.  Looks like you haven't been there for a while.  I'm track photographer at RA...............I'll keep my eyes open for you next season.

Are you new to RA? Wasn't Lacis the track photog? I am going to the Rolex 24 again this Jan. I am always looking for tips on taking photos there. Especially night photos. I struggle with those.

Edmund is still there but doesn't do much photo work except at private events...he likes to work corners.  Most of my stuff ends up on the RA website.  I've actually been shooting there since the 60s.............working exclusively for about 5 years.

I've never been to Daytona to witness the Rolex 24.......can't offer many tips.  It totally depends on the equipment you have and its capabilities.  I'd be glad answer any specific questions you might have.....if I know the answer.  Do you have a photo pass?  Trackside access?

Check out this sidecar photo...that's a woman as the monkey.  She's the only rider I ever saw with that back-bend move around a hard left.  You can find many more side-car shots in this album from AHRMA 2011.  Click on the photo and it will take you there.

    Gidday mate,

I saw your query in the forum, and posted this:

I had a go and found you straight away, I went to the home page and typed in your fotki name in the Members Search and you came up straight away. I tried it when I was logged in and logged out, both found you straight away.

That's  a bit funny. I just did the same thing and get "No Member Found" useing the same pages you did. This is very strange. Thank you for the help on trying to figure this out. It still did not work for me.

Maybe it's got to do with computer settings, not fotki. What browser are you using?

No, I have used different PCs in different locations. I am in telcom and PC support. I have accessed PCs in other geo locations and tried the same thing and got the same results. Using Microsoft Internet Exploder. Maybe it is a geographical location thing. The users I have found that are getting what I am getting are in my state. Those that told me things are working are not in my state as far as I know.

My default browser is Google Chrome and I tried it with Internet Explorer as well. Everything works for me, but if you're PC support and have tried several different setups, then I don't know, weird. Hard to believe it could be location based though, that doesn't make sense.

Great pictures, Dave. Thanks so much for bringing your camera! Classmates - it was great to see all of you. It's insane to think it's been 30 years. I look forward to seeing many of you around town (where is the big hangout bar these days?) and again at the 35!
