Hello Mikhail...I enjoyed your Glanum album and your Aquarium album. I tried to I.D. some of the fish but I did not do a good job. I'm not too familiar with Marine creatures, especially those of the Mediterranean region. But I tried.
And congrats on your contest placing. That put you in the top 8%. Personally, I think you should have been higher.
Congrats on coming 32nd in the Night Shot contest, I think you deserved better mate.

Tried your suggestion on how to deal with it this afternoon in my best local museum, where I've had major problems with flash burn in the past. Shut off the flash capability altogether and recorded photos under normal museum light, low light, and virtually nonexistent light conditions. Even if it had been insisting on flash before, my camera knew how to record photos *anyway* under all but pitch dark conditions. Welcome back Mikhail...I hope your trip was as enjoyable as it sounds. I look forward to seeing your most recent photos and I will try my best with those marine fishes but I have to say that I'm an aquatic biologist and not really well versed in marine life forms. But I will try.
BTW......I think you'll like that D-200. It will do just about everything the D2x will for a whole lot less money. It's even weather sealed which is a boon if you spend time in varying climates. Particularly useful when going from warm places to cold places...you don't have to deal with all that internal condensation. Everything I've read about the D-200 is positive.
