HELP! I've been looking EVERYWHERE for a model of my 67 Ford Galaxie xl 500 Convertible. Can you possibly help me out? I've looked at almost every car kit on line, but can't find it.

You won't find one easily. They were issued only one year 1967 I believe. You have to watch ebay and realize if one does come up, it's not going to be cheap built , missing parts or complete. It's a HTF kit. On the other hand, you may join a forum and get to know some people, ask around if anyone has one they might sell....it still won't be cheap I am sure.Good luck!Bob

Thank you for having this site. Just tried my luck googling for some instructions and came here :).
You still don't have what I need, but I'll wait hoping it will come. Going to signup right way.

    Cheers

Hiya, MJ. Could you drop me a line - it's concerning that 'rebuild project' you asked me about in 2009. I'm just getting a little slower. LOLYou know, that tribute car to Bob still brings tears to my eyes. It really is a beauty.Winnie

if you need some help with cleaning up your scans fell free to contact me
    • 2 months ago
I am not sure I can contact you, since you didn't tell me who you are? lolI appreciate all of the help I can get. As for quality of scans, I just use what people send me. My own scans are always done at high res and I am a bit anal about them. I have fixed scans up and done my best with what's been sent to me though. On the other hand, if you mean the order they are shown here on fotki? I know they are completely disorganized here, but that's why I have our web site for navigation. http://www.thedpmcc.com/instructionsintro.html I just use our fotki for storage of the images. Sometime, I might organize them all here on fotki so they are searchable, but it's going to be awhile.Bob

Good morning to all! This is an update to my request for instructions for AMT American LaFrance Ladder Chief. I have located them and I no longer need to look for them. My thanks go out to anyone and everyone that might have been looking for them. This is a great site and if I am ever in need again I'll be back to ask. I'll still browse in case I can be of help to someone else. Thanks again. Navypoppop

Good morning Bob. Sorry I am getting back to you so late. I haven't been browsing as much lately. I did not get a scan of the directions for the American LaFrance Ladder Chief as I stumbled across an Aero Chief for sale that was an open kit and the model dealer in North Carolina made a copy of the directions for me free of charge. I'm sorry that I couldn't be of help to you. Thanks for everything. Harry[navypoppop].

I just wanted to say that since I have found this site I have used it to locate lost or misplaced instructions for my model truck collection. You have been able to either offer me locations to look or someone has come thru with what I needed. I now have a post for another set of instructions and I am sure someone will come thru again. You offer a great site for locating hard to find if not impossible items. Without your help many searches would be impossible. Thanks to all for the great service and excellent communication in all you do. Navypoppop

I am so glad to help and I know everyone that pitches in is just as happy to do so! This "instructions archive" has been a labor of love for the last several years. We are nowhere near close to being done, but it's fun working on it! There is much to learn, much to share! Promote the hobby! Share instructions and box art...it gets people interested in buying models which in turn helps the companies get ideas and so on.....it's a WIN WIN for everyone!
