Hahahaha, No it should be a free account but it has not happened yet. I was told it would occur within the next two weeks. I did open another free account just in case the original is completely blocked. The second account is also named VooDoodave, but the avatars are different. I am using the original only for touched up photos from the critique forum.

Actually, I'm just not going to renew my premium membership. I already have a new account set up. It's just not worth paying for a premium membership since the free accounts get almost the same privileges.

I'm going to buy myself a Big lunch with the money, hahahahah. The only problem is there are at least 12 good places to eat only 5 to 10 minutes from my place.

I have the race on also, I need some excitement, nothing has been going on at fotki..................hahahaha. Only kidding, we've been having a lot of fun the last few days and there has only been one incident and the EMP (J Jo) was promptly on the spot and applied a band aid.

Ya know, that was one of the ugliest endings for a race that I've seen in a long time, I guess "Smoke" is allowed to do whatever to get his win, I know if it were Jr. he'd have been penalized or something.....someone could have gotten killed on the whole crash....did you see #9....gees...no matter what driver you don't like, a crash like that was preventable....

Dave, I applaud you taking your money and using it for a fat meal at your local eatery. I renewed before I got too fed up, and now that I know I am "leaving", I have way too long on my current membership!

So, I will just stick around and haunt this place until my membership expires. Keep fighting for membership to mean something and making hamburgers out of the sacred cows that inhabit the herd.

(My PC has over 600 gb built in. I have a 500 GB external and am about to pick-up a 1TB now that the prices are dropping...)

Yes the time has come to stop paying for nothing. In the future, I believe that there will be more people who will realize that their money can be spent more enjoyably on things like .............food, pop corn, hard drives or other photo sites where premium means something.

Fighting for premium accounts to be special is a waste of time. Fotki will not change or then they will have to listen to 1,000's and
1,000's of non premium members.

The contests are the smallest part, if any, for me not renewing my premium membership. The main reason is that I don't need to pay for photo storage since I have an external hard drive. Also, I can enter or vote or comment in the contest without a prem. membership. I'm going to take myself to lunch with that $30.00 and order everything on the left of the menu.

I have already opened a free account which shall be called VooDoodave. I know, not very original and it does sound familiar.

Yes life is unpredictable, that's why I always eat desert first. However, today I'm having my Mac and cheese, the one with the secret ingredents made with half and half, Dijon mustard, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, 3 cheeses, and topped with a scoop of sour cream. Life is good.

Desert will be a bowl of fresh California cherries, with sugar, milk and french vanilla creamer added. This will make life even better.

You know, when I first started hearing about all this contest rigging I wondered how it could happen. Then when I realised it could, I wondered why on earth someone would bother. Then when I asked about it (I was in the top 3 that week) because someone had mentioned that popular people only got up there because they were friends with such and such I thought, right. Sod the lot of you. But then I realised that I can only hold myself accountable for behaviour, nobody else. We can advise, we can avoid, we can even judge to an extent, but we only ever have control over ourselves. So I just crack on and try to stop and verbal violence where I can. At least I hope I do. Must admit, it's worn me down. And I don't hold contest position/comments in much regard anymore. I'd probably come last if I entered anywhere else. Perhaps I should enter somewhere else *thinks*.
As for getting this for free, yes, you're right. I've been looking at getting an external hard drive, I just can't afford it at the moment. Do you mind me asking how big yours is *ahem* if you'll pardon the implied rude reference ;) ? My PC holds all the same photo's I have on fotki, and tons more, and my laptops about to give me the pixel equivalent of the middle finger lol.

Hope you'll stick around after the 4 days. I know you'd be missed if you didnt.
