I spent some time scanning your insect albums before heading off to work this morning. Nice stuff. I wish I knew more about some of the western insects than I do. Very interesting. It's clear that you spend a lot of time out there seeking out these critters. Thanks for a nice a.m. diversion.
Having spent 40some years in Wisconsin, moving out here was like moving to another planet where flora and fauna are concerned. Every weekend is like a birthday party. The discovery of another creature I have not seen before, a new present to open. Who knows, maybe I'll open one up that no one has seen before. Thanks, Mike.
I am so impressed with your Owl shots. A creature never seen here in FL except at night so images I certainly don't have. I would hazard a guess that many of the inflight images would do quite well in Fotki contests - you should enter and share your talent with more of us - beyond your albums. Fabulous work.
Hi! I've been scrolling through your Ants, Bees, Wasp etc. Album and found heaps of wonderful images and descriptions on the captures. So many different types, colours, shapes and textures making for an intriguing view! It's an album I can keep coming back to as there is so much to see. Thanks for being an inspiration!
Hi Chris: I haven't been participating much on fotki over the last year since I joined flickr and seem to be spending so much time there. I just don't have time to keep both up. I always enjoy your work and wanted to wish you a happy holiday. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and best wishes for the New Year!
