Thanks for the comments on the Sonora Desert Museum photos. We try and get out there once a year to visit relatives. Should be moving down in 4-6 years. The Free Flight program is always the highlight of my visits.
Glad you liked the owls! We're pretty even on the envy since I'd love your shooting opportunities at the Desert Museum. This group of owls has been in that area for awhile and I saw them flying several weeks ago at dusk but we didn't see any stopping to perch. I know a very good wildlife photographer that drove out there every night for weeks before he got two shots. I'm thrilled we just lucked in to it last weekend as far as timing. I got the first ones on Saturday so we drove back on Sunday and I was able to get the other two series. Right time, right place and I shot safari style out the sunroof while my husband slowly moved up for better shots, LOL. I haven't seen any owls for almost four years so I'm really pleased to have something new. Looking at the feathering on the faces I think I have three different owls too. Can't wait to order some and I surely hope that print well. Cindy
Good morning Christopher, Happy Birthday, all the best for you, especially health. Enjoy your day.....and of course, your loved ones will have bunches of gifts for you. Cheers Nicolas.
I have commented in the Fotki journal about not being happy with Fotki and our photos not showing up in our albums and pages not opening and if they can't solve this problem soon, I will have to go elsewhere :-(
Ok! ...it is not funny anymore and we have been without hundreds of photos showing in our albums for months since last year October and many times pages are down and can't open them at all. We were not told of this from the beginning and if you have lost OUR photos you should let us know now what happened.
Thanks Paul. It is sad. We've seen soo many aquaintances move on over the last couple of years. While I'm not looking forward to starting over somewhere else, I think it would probably be for the better in the long run. I'll probably stick it out to the bitter end out of curiosity. I keep everything backed up elsewhere so... Great to hear from you. Wish the news was better. Christopher
Thanks Christopher:-) Yes! it is sad because I really loved Fotki and it was the best over all other ones that I have been to, -BUT I wanted to show some new people my photos but hundreds of my photos in my albums are gone and I can't show them. I have 2 TB harddrive --so no problem there at all. ...never used Fotki for backup. I am at Flickr which is good for now and many my friends are there and going there. Have a wonderful day, weekend, and coming week Christopher:-) --Thanks! :-)smiley Paul
Thanks for the comment on the Chickadee and Teacup. I'm enjoying playing around with these and have three different teacups to work with. I don't like taking shots with the birds on regular feeders, but since I like the cups by themselves it seems a nice combination. Cindy
Here is a link to the best B&W converter program in photography. It is a plug in for photoshop the program is highly recomended by pop photography after reading about the program I purchased it. It is great in creating fantastic B&W photos. www.niksoftwear.com silver efex pro 2. I like the easy way I can convert a photo. Scot
I reworked all the albums in bromeliad folders, or create new albums with pictures Tillandsias. So now, all my bromeliads and tillandsias, I photographed from me online. Have fun! Klaus
