Thanks for writing back so quick. I did my research on the D80 and have compared it to the D200 and S3, but like you.... it is more of a hobby and I shouldn't splurge on such a pricey camera right now . I shoot a little for work and help out as a back-up wedding photographer a couple times a year. I just bought the Tamron 18-200 lens about a month ago. You're right it's light weight and I can capture landscaping and macro without switching lens. I do try to enter as many contests as I can find photos for, I have faith that some day I will win 1st. I was wondering...do you photoshop your images? Good talking to you.

I checked out your gallery and you do stunning work. I know that you shoot with a Nikon D70 but when lens do you use mostly and how often do you use a tripod ? I am a Fuji S2 user myself. Looking to switch to the Nikon. Still doing research, thinking about the D80. Just wanted to drop a line to tell you that you have a great eye and a natural at photography.
