Hey Ceecy, thank you for visiting and your encouraging comments. I've just been snipping off SSKs and split ends when I see them at the end of my plaits/twists (too chicken to do a real trim). Hopefully I'll see improvement. HHG!

I enjoyed my crochet braids but I don't think I would self install again because I only like human hair (I react badly to synthetic hair) and I find that human hair is a bit too 'slippery' for knotting. Perhaps the key is glue but I wash weekly so I'm not sure that would have been a good idea (
Hi Ceecy, regarding explaining how I made my shea butter mix. This is where I got the idea how to add the coconut milk. I think she does a very good job explaining how she does it:
However I used powdered coconut milk in my recipe and I used 2 tbs cornstarch for each 16 oz of butter/oil in my mix. You may need to tweak it depending on which oil(s)/butters and water based moisturizer you are using. I used one drop of plain Tincture of Benzoin per ounce of shea butter mix as preservative.
