The reason I haven't posted is I'm overwhelmed with pictures over the last month I must have taken over 3000 pictures and I don't have time to do anything with them. I also just got back from Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. I have to post some for a girl in Las Vegas as we speak.
I just created a blog about an issue important to us all -- especially those of us that have an opinion about fine art nudes.
The blog discusses recent increasing censorship within Fotki. Regardless of where you stand on on the subject, I'd love your thoughts. If you get a minute, please check it out:
... and feel free to invite other members which may have interest.

Hi....i want to say thank you for your vote in Best Fotki Couple contest...its maybe late but i really appreciate it.....thank you very much and have a nice day....:):):)
With warm and fuzzy feeling we take in all of your comments and votes, and with that said we would like to thank you for giving us one of many votes that helped us get 2nd and 3rd places in Digital Art 2 and Best Fotki Couple contests. Without your support this would not be possible. Thank you again!!!
Hi! I just wanted to thank you so much for the stars you gave me in the couples contest. Thanks also for taking time and voting!:) God bless you - Trixi:)
I've been working since early early morning and finally things are coming together with the scans - but it is slow - about one per hour so far - but I have some control - if I use a small portion I can scan at 2400 or even 4800 dpi and get 20-50MP images. I am starting to post them at http://public.fotki.com/npro/film and I am trying to put the size of the uploaded image (some of them are on the small size and some are 6-20MP). This is fun and painful at the same time - and like if there is a hickup you have to turn off both the software (e.g. PS or Pica Jet as well as the scanner). However it is great to see 2 months worth of negatives (the film scanner I have can reverse the contact strips).

Thanks for the vote in the Best Fotki Couple contest!
I am not a fanatic but have found that my medium format cameras are wonderful for certain settings - things that dont move a lot or can be directed. <g>
Even a full chip digital camera has trouble doing full resolution scenary but a medium format camera can snap a roll, get it to local good camera store and next day get uncut 120 or 220 roll back and scan in image at 2400 that is 100MP and get resolution and detail that is amazing.
Excuse my passion on this but I am a big fan of digital's ease and control and spontaneity but for large scenes (with lots of distant detail) the older cameras still do a better job IMHO.
I like your work a lot so I think I am talking to a kindred soul - must might be something to put into your kit bag for your next big beach/everglades/mountain shoot.
BTW, in your searches have you found a way for someone to put in a credit card # and get access to an album of fotos?
I guess you are looking at fotoblog - have you seen pbase.com??
Hope I didnt annoy you with my passion for medium format and then scanning into my computer - best way to get 50 MB images with lots of resolution and sharp tack shark and shading of light... it is a fetish and you can just ignore me on this... or tell me I am being silly
I use a Nikon D70 with a variety of lenses, also a Nikon 7900 as a take everywhere camera and recently have been getting into Hasselblad, Rollei and Mamiya RB67 and Fuji GA645zi for their superior lenses and light gathering abilities. I am having trouble scanning the negs into my computer but the few that I have done are quite nice (from a Nikon F5).
