Hi Brad, Thanx for your compliments, but no, just an amateur. And you? Looks professional to me, using a 20D. Jacques *********** I wish all it took was some high end equipment but thanks! B

Hi Brad, thanks for helping me with my Fotki pictures!!
Thank you for your comment. I never tach the photo i get. That whay i didn't like the photoshop. I belive that what u get it is what u had to get. I post some photos to my site. may be they are impresiv but they are not the pic i shot. this is my ruls. thanks again. yakov
Was the new lens worth the investment? Does the 2.8 help? I was considering the 28-300 IS L lens. This way I could have and all around lens, the only problem is it weighs 4.5 lbs. Damn that's heavy.
What are the major differences you see between the old and new lens?
I'll comment on you pictures when I get home from work tonight.
HI Brad, Thanks you ver much for your advice and support, it was all very much appreciated and helpful! I have 6 pictures selected now and I need 5....hard last decision to make! I will inform you as soon as I have my final list! I will visit your New lens album later today! Looking forward to seeing your try outs! Take care, Viviane
Hi! If you have a spare minute could you please visit my Options album as I need to choose 5 pictures for a contest and have no clue which one to pick! I explained the rating next to the album... http://public.fotki.com/viviane/canon_powershot_pro1/3/ I would be very grateful! :) Greetz, Viviane
Hi Brad, Thanks for visiting and all the kind remarks on my pictures. Leave some comments next time if you like, I love to see which ones people like or dislike! I use far less sophisticated gear than you! My first digital camera was a Canon A80, I still love it! With that camera I used 25 dollars Tiffen +7 and +10 lenses for the macro shots. Recently I bought a Canon Pro1 and with that one I use sometimes the specially designed Canon Adapter and 500D lens. That's it. I considered buying a DSLR of course :), always wanted one, but I have problems with slight form of rhumatism in my hands and it is just too hard for me to carry heavy stuff around and change lenses too much (I tend to drop them!) so I took a wise decision and went for the Pro1. The only con so far is that it is rather slow for the insects I want to shoot, but I am very pleased with it. I strongly believe that taking good pictures is making the best of the stuff you have...right? 99% of my macro's were taken in my (rather small) garden or kitchen. I am a cook so lots of things to photograph. My holiday pictures are scanned so far as I took my Nikon and Pentax with me the last time we went, except Barcelona. I had my Canon A80 3 days when we went there and it worked a treat. I didn't even read the manual LOL OK, if you want to know more about my macro or anyting else, just ask! Viviane
