Hi Bob, thanks for your visit and your kind comments on my nature shots album. It is one of the topics I really love to photograph. I hope you are doing well.
Thanks, I think, for your comment in my guestbook from April 14th. I just discovered I had one (a guestbook at Fotki) and yours is the first comment. It's amazing what you can find in the little hidden corners of Fotki.
me and my camera replied here and in the blog: Thanks for mentioning my work with AttaBaby (Adobe Photoshop v7.0) as more fully demonstrated in http://public.fotki.com/bgrumbin/gallery/techno/ I doubt that I'll be entering the contest but do have an expansion of the TechnoBabble album in the works. Bob :-)##

Tried to enter this in your Forum but couldn't get it done. Trying now in your Guest Book. The news reports say:
WASHINGTON - January 3 - On January 4, people will demonstrate at the opening of Congress. Protesters from up and down the East Coast, some dressed in orange Guantanamo torture jumpsuits, will demand that Congress investigate and hold accountable the Bush administration for criminal liability, and that the House of Representatives immediately initiate Articles of Impeachment against Bush for "high crimes and misdemeanors."
1. DEMONSTRATION, 12noon, Thursday, January 4 Upper Senate Park (Delaware & Constitution, just north of Capitol), Washington DC
Debra Sweet, National Director of World Can't Wait: "A regime as criminal as the Bush regime should not be allowed to remain in office. This unjust war was started on lies and has continued despite an election where millions thought they were voting to stop it. The Democrats allow debate only on how to run the war more effectively, and refuse to even consider impeachment. This is unacceptable. If George Bush is not removed from office before 2008, then everything he has done -- his doctrine of preemptive war, legalization of torture, undermining the rule of law, and inserting fundamentalist Christianity into the laws, culture and institutions of the country -- will continue no matter who becomes the next president. As people of conscience living in the U.S. we cannot allow that to happen."
It doesn't sound like the Democrats intend to allow any relevant changes. -- A. Nonny Mouse
me and my camera replied: Thanks Nonny for the update on what some decent American citizens are trying to do in that homosexual Xian narcophony cesspool Worsingdone District of Corruption. Keep in mind, as I'm sure all of the legis critters do every day of their lives surrounded by that pair of thirty foot thick iron curtains separating them from the people of the United States, that none of them ever had reason to doubt WHO sent those anthrax laden letters to opponents of the treasonous "Patriot Act" that they endorsed in 2001. There had been voluminous complaints in the not then yet thoroughly censored press from soldiers subjected to the DoD's development of that weapon of biological warfare, just as there were prior to Lyndon Johnson's unleashing of the chemical warfare attacks against America during his reign of terror and slaughter of tens of thousands of American males (only) in the VietNam killing fields on behalf of the same lesbian supremacist criminal tax evading Xian fraud "religion" that has been puppeteering the Raygun/ Bush/ Clinton/ sonofaBush series of presidunces.
As for the Mock Rat "win" in November, one does have to remember that it was not only fascist Repuke Lickings who voted to reappoint the creator of the Article IV abrogating revisions of the bunko system, His British Lordship the criminal mastermind Greedspan. Every single man and woman jack among the Mock Rats joined in UNANIMOUSLY reappointing that treasonous criminal subverter of Article IV of the US Constitution Amendments. They were also obvious in extracting a promise from Burn Yankee to make no changes whatever to the criminally abrogative practices of his predecessor Greedspan.
So, heartened as I am to see that there still are some fellow Americans around to make public their opposition to the fascist criminal abrogations against America and the international war mongering against humanity which have characterized the sonofaBush reign of terror, I don't suppose that Boob, who campaigned for President against the fascist criminal and his "me too" Mock Rat puppet opponent in 2004, yet has any authority to countermand the criminal abrogations of American civil and human rights which have been inflicted by the sonofaBush and his puppet legis critters of both political potties. Bob, no snowflakes on my pages, try setting your header background colour to white temporarily until your unwanted aberrations disappear with the coming of spring. Regards, Ken
me and my camera replied here and in his Guest Book: Yahweh and Ken Alexander be PRAISED!!! The name of the thing I changed was a bit different. I also had to change the text item color from white to a discernible color. But it worked and I am grateful to you Ken for bringing the possibility to my attention. Thanks. Bob :-)##
****************************************** Glad to be of service. :-) K
The snow flakes which got added to my web page design on 061219 were NOT my idea. I've hated snow since the mid 1950s when I was a newspaper boy having to deliver the papers through subzero frost biting cold near a large midwestern lake which took the windchill factor far below the abysmal ambient temperature. Howsomever, the Fotki programmers appear to like snow flakes so I'm stuck with snow flakes on my web page until *their* whimsy shovels them away. Bob ;-(##
Hi Bob, I finally got through again and watched the complete slideshow. I really enjoyed seeing so many of the photos that you have sent to me, but many that I had not seen. It's an excellent album and I really like it. Your friend, Sharon
* * * * * EULOGY FOR DOLLY PARTON * * * * * It is a defect of our qualities that we literate people sometimes read the clutter at the checkout stands in grocery stores. By that means, I was informed that Dolly Parton, star of stage screen and Country & Western music, had wasted away to a mere 87 pounds ;(. I am being only somewhat facetious when I mention that the lady "used to have a pair of boobs that weighed more than that!" I have no photos of her, never was a member of any "fan club", only remember her.
It wasn't her boobs that attracted my attention to Dolly Parton but her singing and acting abilities. As did Sondra Locke for her role in "The Gauntlet", Dolly cared enough about her work to learn about us hetero sorts in sufficient detail that she presented a credible performance as the madame in "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas". I applaud that performance and her singing career as well.
It would be unbecoming of a eulogy to detail what I think of the vast majority of the inhabitants of that cesspool north of Lost Angels Californicatia, Wholly Wierd. But with reference to them, I think Dolly Parton actually *was* an entertainer, unlike the vast majority of those inhabitants. I miss her already and she isn't even gone. Bob :-)##
* Hi Thank You for your kind words for my entry in the reflection contest. A photo might worth a thousand words, but a photo on Fotki contest is worth a thousand freindships (or hundreds), it's just a great way to share our experiences from different parts of the world. Thank you for the wonderful starz given, very much appreciated. Cheers *************************************
Hi, Thank you kindly for your vote in the Reflections Competition. Re your comment about the person in the picture, I preferred the shot with Gary standing there, it was a happy day and we were showing our country to a visitor who appreciated the view, only right he should be in the picture.
In light of the fraudulent bulk tagging of an entire album by Fotki insiders which occurred today 061022, using language which is entirely unacceptable to me to describe *my* photos on *my* pages, any new entries in this Guest Book which obscure this notice shall be deleted. Email works fine if you want to communicate with me. Bob ;-(##
This notice has been superceded by the padlocked Rotating Gallery for my friends to visit. That Gallery has detailed discussion of the matters involved on my main page. I am reopening the Guest Book for comments as of 061113. Bob :-)##
Thanks, Bob, for your vote for my "runny egg" in the reflections contest; I know it's not my best shot but I was going on holiday and it was the only thing I had in the time available. It's going to need all the help it can!
Ken
