I say thanks with a picture of the whole building My Sweetie Friend. I didn´t enter it in the contest because I wasn´t sure the roses was properly visible.
Thank you for your comment on Bambi, and yes I do feel very blessed. This deer just stood there looking at me while I took his picture. I literally got within about 15 feet from him before he showed any sign of concern at all.
Wow Marilyn.... I'm in awe. Such beautiful work I couldn't resist but to look at a few more before I left.
I'd love to know more about your setup too... I'm shooting with a Nikon D200 and a 18-200 lens but not on a tripod most of the time, and don't have a remote release yet. I'd love to get my images to look half as good as yours!
Saw one of your photos on the random pictures page on the Fotki home page and thought I'd come take a look at more of your work.
You have astounding albums and so much work has gone into them I can tell just from a quick browse.
Only have a few minutes here at work to look from time to time, but I know I'll be back to look through more.
My wife does fractals as well... Had to upgrade her machine this year so she could render the ones she wanted without taking 6-8 hours on an algorithm. I just bought her a D60 as well so hopefully she'll start posting here on Fotki as well.
Dearest Sister Marilyn. You have a Beautiful Album, for May. I have enjoyed it so much. I have to go now, to try and catch a Sunset over Fleetwood. But at the moment it does not look ro promising.
Lots of Love and Big Hugs. Big Handshakes to David
My dear sweet Marilyn how lovely you are to leave such supportive messages on my competition entries ,you are just the best!!! Thank you so very much for your friendship & interest ~ sending a big "Kiwi" hug & a kiss for each cheek ~ Lynne
Hey Marilyn, Indeed I did take the pictures of the fireworks for my photo in the weekly digital... One of the major shows on the 4th here in Augusta was in downtown... with the fireworks actually set up on the 5th street bridge over the Savannah River between South Carolina & Georgia. I have a 130+ firework photo's in my July 4th album and if you want to see how the fireworks are actually set up... see my May 17th album... if you want to see photo's of the fireworks actually being loaded into the launchers see my December 8th album.
I then created the "Firework Boxes" in photoshop. -- DTM
Thanks for playing along with my "FACE IN A CROWD" photo...
The lady was reading me the riot act for taking photo's while on her property. If you look at the photo, you can see I was about 20 feet off of the highway and actually on the State Highway Right of Way under the power lines. She did not care! She didn't open her eyes the whole time she was telling me she didn't care what I was taking pictures of, get the hell off of her property, or she was calling the police!!!!! Being the fun person that I am, I took two steps towards the road and asked, "Happy now?"
Yes, 1959 vintage year. i miss the Presidential election this year for a birthday celebration by a day due to leap year. I went to google and they have some links to the story I mentioned to you about the man in a lawn chair flies on ballons. I'm not sure on how to link it to you. but if you check out google it has a story by ABC news about it. You have grandchildren that watch tv? At the cemetery I work at we had a film crew for a TV show on Discovery Kids film on Tuesday night. the show is called Mystery Hunters. We had fun watching them film the show. It sould be on TV sometime in Oct or Nov. Have you ever seen the show? By the way The song on the cover of the rolling stone has been going through my head all day too :) Thank you for the laugh Scott
I remember that song well. I recoginzed the tribute right away. We are the same age and I remember it as a kid and enjoying it on the radio. I like your new avatar. Did you hear in the news about a guy that tried to fly in the air with 150 party ballons tied to a lawn chair. Your new avatar reminds me of the story. He has gotten off the ground and has drifted around but off the top of my head I'm not sure if he has ever reached his goal. He uses a bb gun to shoot out the ballons to lower himself. I'll find the story and copy it for you. The comments in the weekly competition have been fixed. Your picture on the cover of the rolling stone did give me a smile and nice laugh. Thanks, Scott
I like your picture "On the Cover of the Rolling Stone" Is it a tribute to the song By Dr. Hook ? It is a great idea. You spent a lot of time and hard work doing this. It is cool. Scott
Dearest Marilyn and David. I am feeling much better now. Still not right yet, but I am getting there. must be the Prayers you have sent me. Which I thank you all so much.
I will be back soon. when I get some new Photos. I have got an update of the Twins. They are to fast to Photograph. But thats how they look today or Tuesday.
Lot's of Love my Dear Sister, and Handshakes to big Brother David.
Since I have been with Fotki, about 3 years, very few people have moved me with their comments. You are now one of them. I find words at these times difficult to come by to express my real feelings of appreciation regarding what you have said.
Most of the time I just do what I do and really don't know if anybody has seen or cares for my work. It makes me happy to create these "things" and that is what is important to me. If along the way I can please others, that is a bonus and very rewarding.
Your private message has touched me deeply and you have proven what friendship is.
Re: one petal unchanged... Change isn't everything.... no matter what we are changing, there are always elements which are fine and should be left alone... if for no other reason than not to forget "how it was".. This does not pertain just to photography.
~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ So right you are my friend.. :):) xo
