This is a wonderful site. It brings me a lot of memories of days gone by. Most of my relatives are from that area in Parke County, Indiana and I spent a lot of time around the covered bridges and at the Lusk Home. My grandfather was the first custodian of Turkey Run in 1916-1917. Him and his family lived in the Lusk home during that time. My mother met my father there in 1917 and they were married in 1918.

My uncle became Superintendent of Turkey Run in the 1950's and then is when I visited his family and spent a lot of time in the Lusk house (before it was opened to the public) and played along Sugar Creek and the Narrows Covered Bridge.

    Thanks for the memories!

    Sean,

Thank you for the link to your site. I had not seem some of those photos of my family in years.

I play with taking photos some and have a flickr page. If you are interested, my site is: http://www.flickr.com/photos/waldenpond/

I have some photos of my family that I can post there and you can download as you want. If you decide to register with flickr, I will link you in as a family and post photos that only you will see. I can add some details on each to give you the specs.

Sorry, no pictures came up, just blank spots. Said there is an error on Internet Explorer that doesn't allow the pictures to show. Have tried several times and the same thing, no pictures.

    Will keep trying.

    Thanks

    Hey Sean!
Wedding went great... Shot for several hours.. My dress shoes sucked and I have 3 toes that turned black and blue, with 2 blisters on my heals.. haha... !!
Is Walnut Grove in Scott County Park? I was at a wedding there for one of Chris's friends from school. Wow.. that Hempfield Tunnel video is cool what a great spot to shoot some scary looking photos!! Where is that?? We'll have to do lunch again soon and swap war stories?

    Hi Sean,
Love your new uploads....call me weird...but I love walking through cemetaries!
So peaceful...lovely flowers and headstones. It's nice to see how family and friends remember their loved ones. Makes you believe mankind still has a spark of decency left in them.
Hope this finds you and yours doing well.
Have a great week and take care.
    Hugs,
    Deb
