Just came back from a relaxing weekend getaway in the Pocono’s, and I’m seeing a lot of anonymous tasteless, negative and nasty comments. :( Once again I will have to edit the negative comments, which is the unfortunate side effect of free speech on my Fotki page. I am disappointed, that I was unsuccessful in trying my best to explain what kind of comments are and are not appropriate. I also recall saying that comments are a privilege that can easily be taken away, as you can see from my previous entries in the guest book.

For those that thought I was kidding will see that, in fact, I was not. I’ve decided to give the comments privilege to Fotki members only. . I might reconsider, and once again allow free speech for the general public, but that decision will come with time. They say time heals all wounds…we will see. Misha

Well, yes Misha spasibo for your updated rules and guidelines and all, but don't you think people need to think a little out of the box when they make a comment. No offense, but commenting on all your "close" friends with something nice to say is always good... For example, who'd erase such a line as "ohhh you look so cute, ohhh you look so nice, oh you make a beautiful couple, no you look the cutest, no you look the hottest..no you" are about 70% of these pages. Baby, you sound so in command and very sure of yourself. ( I like it) But basically i think one phrase sums it all up " If you have nothing nice to say - don't say anything!!!" Nobody really cares or asks for the rude and distasteful comments that people have tendencies to make.
A couple of questions were raised on my Fotki censorship policy. Here is what I came up with. The comments are deleted based on two criteria. #1 When they are anonymous, directly condescending to the person on the picture. #2 When they are anonymous, tasteless jokes at someone else's expense. In conclusion, If you want your comment to stay in the guest book, sign your name. If you want your photo comment to stay, make sure that your comment does not fall into the above criteria 1 & 2. Although It would be nice to see people getting along in our Chicago Russian community, I (RussianMisha) will do my best to keep my Fotki page as neutral as possible. Thank You....Management. :)

Dashka, you just ruined the excitement of ALL the people who visit this site hoping and praying that maybe, just maybe Misha would post them on his MOST RECENT photos. What are these people gonna do now that they found out NO NEW FOTKIES WILL BE POSTED FOR AT LEAST A COUPLE OF WEEKS????
