Hi ..... someone just asked me about where they might post their pictures so they could sell them and not have to deal with shipping and collecting etc.   For some reason your name popped into my head... i haven't seen or talked to you in ages, and i was just wondering how you were doing... please send me an email when you have time...  would just like to catch up and see what you are doing now...  Hope you and Carol are both enjoying life and good health!  Barb

I have 1945 1946 1947 yearbooks scanned if you or anyone would like a copy. I am doing a project for the Portsmouth Public Library wherein I scann yearbooks for all the high schools. When was Alexander Park active? Do you have access to any other yearbooks. Later this year all yearbooks will be available for viewing free on the web.

I can be reached at mailto:charris@legislativeservices.com

Your information about the Upstairs Folk Ghetto reunions was interesting. My husband was in the Navy and has pictures of Emmy Lou Harris performing at the Folk Ghetto in April 1967. Also performing were Greg Phillips, Jim Dawson, Bean Johnson, and Doug MacClowd. Does the Folk Ghetto exist any longer or are the only remains the reunions at the IceHouse Restaurant? Do those reunions continue? I would love to surprise him by taking him to one of the reunions. Thanks again.

Thanks so much for all the work you did at the 2006 Alexander Park Reunion that took place on your 16th year wedding anniversary. The pictures are great, but I wish there was a way to edit all of the ones of me out of there. You sure didn't get my best side, but I guess as they say, cameras don't lie.Too bad,I wish they would once in awhile at events like these.
    Thanks anyway,
    Shirlgirl

For those in the Folk Ghetto/Upstairs group who hadn't heard, Ann Long Middleton died May 2, 2006. I don't know any details and have no way to find out, but I thought you ought to know. We were friends for many years, but we lost track after I moved away.

    David & Carol,
My husband is from Virginia and, when I saw that you had an album dedicated to that area, I couldn't help but go browsing through it. I found myself in utter amazement at the photos that you took - from the beauty (the farm with the horse that followed you around) to the heart-wrenching (D-Day Memorial). You covered it all so very well. Thank you for sharing your wonderful photos.

    Hugs,
    Patty
