Hi! Thanks for the compliment! Well I stopped relaxing my hair in May 2004 before I was even aware that I was "transitioning" or "going natural". So I transitioned for about 2 years and 1 or 2 months 0_0!
Hi, Empress. Henna will actually not lighten hair. I had to use a commercial product which lifted hair to a very light blond and then put henna right on top after rinsing the chemicals out. I lightened the hair while in braids which is probably why the color isn't very uniform. Oh, and I mix it with ACV and a little evoo. I sometimes add tumeric for a more gold color. I like to make it in my crockpot, it comes out very smooth that way.
