WHADDUP!!!! Hey girl I'm glad you stopped by, your hair looks awesome. I'm still fighting that good fight ;o)
Peace D
D: Your hair is looking awesome, I really do not know if you've notice the fast growth you have? It looks amazing. Have you worn it out yet, like for real? If not you need to, quit playing and wear your pretty fro.
Reply: Naw, I haven't worn my fro for real - for real...not sure if it would look too radical for corp. USA
I loved looking through your albums. You & your hair are beautiful. I'm 8 mos. into my journey, and can understand your frustration & reasoning that led to the texturizer. I'm fortunate to be a sahm, so for now, I have way too much time on my hands to play with my hair! Now that's it's growing it is more challenging, and definitely more time consuming but I hope I can handle it. It's good that you did what's best for you, and it's too bad that others in the nappy community might frown upon it. To each their own. Go Bills!!!
Reply: Thanks for stopping by, truly appreciate the support. I'll stop by your album in a few!
Yeah girl, I had to do it!! I'll get over it really fast though, it took an hour to twist my hair, plus there was less shed hair in the shower and I have less tangles! LOL. But it will be fun growing it back!
Hey Nik, your hair looks beautiful! I am overdue for updates, hopefully I can update this weekend and when I do you know I'll hit you back. See ya next month.
Reply: Look at that hair beautiful!!! Growing so well!
O.k. I must be living under a rock because I did not know who Anthony Dickey was until I came to visit your fotki. I don't think I ever heard of Hair Rules either. At any rate your album is so interesting and informative to say the least. I love your journey and am so glad I visited! I'm even more glad you didn't texturize.
Reply: Yes, reading his book was a thing I had done at the beginning of transitioning and have highlighted sections that I still refer to! Get his book! Hair Rules is new (his product line that he named after his book). Glad I didn't texturize either, thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for sharing your trip to Tina Pearson Salon on Lexington in Manhattan it was nice to see the great results that he gave you.
Your hair is fab and he did a good job with you. Glad that he was able to work with you as to not give you a chemical and show you success that you could duplicate for that I can give him points on as some places are so ready to just not have patience.
Hey I just wanted to say I really enjoyed looking through your album, especially the june album. I've been considering trying the Hair Rules products, not for all the time, but every now and then when I wanted a different look. Your pics have definitely pushed me more in the direction of trying it whenever I get the money. Your hair looks great, both before and after!
Reply: thanks so much!!

Hey Resplendent,
Just wanted to give you a shout out for your beautiful curls. I'm planning on visiting Dickey's salon in a couple of weeks, your post helped me a lot. How are his products working for you. I've about given up on trying new products, nothing stops my shrinkage or loosens my hair (4B all the way) But from what I gathered from your pictures, your friend Avie's hair kinda looks like mine and I was really impressed with her hair in the after shot. Again your hair looks really stunning and I'm glad that Dickey's salon was a positive experience for you!
Reply: Hey there, thanks for stopping by, glad my posts helped you that's why I do it, I really can't say someone helped me out and I hated that about my natural journey! Yes Avie is a 4b, but she has some 4a hair too in the back, I will say hands down I am impressed with Dickey's products and more impressed with his knowledge of natural hair, good luck at the salon, my word of advice, watch and time everything he is doing so you can duplicate it when home, the products are working great, just need to perfect my technique/regimen!
I have some 4a hair as well so I know about the shrinkage. Im on month 7 of transitioning and my hair shrinks up in the back. If you get a texturizer than so be it, I will be coming back to check out the updates. What about a silkener, or is that the same thing? O, and please update after your salon visit and hair consultation with the master stylist! I would love to hear what he thinks about mineral oil in hair care products.
Reply: thanks for your encouragement, updates are in my album and yes a silkener is a fancy word for texturizer, I hear they just add conditioner to the chemical making it a silkener, check out June's album for info about my visit!
You have beautiful curls. I seen your posts on NC I think you should do what is best for you and your lifestyle. Our hair, skin, and body is ours to do with what we please. Everyone's hair journey is a personal one.
Reply: Thanks I so need that encoragement right now. Thanks again!!!
