Hi Peter,

I finally got around to finding and putting together an album of Concerts that I have been to. Check it out if you get the chance. Hope you like the pictures of Michale W. Smith. Have a great weekend. Scott

Good morning Peter
Thanks for your compliment in my guest book. That is a great feature Fotki cooked up for us.
Here, av a laugh:
On a transatlantic fight, a plane passes through a severe storm. The turbulence is awful, and things go from bad to worse when one wing is struck by lightning.
One young woman in particular loses it.
Screaming, she stands up in the front of the plane, "I'm too young to die," she wails.
Then she yells, "Well, if I'm going to die, I want my last minutes on earth to be memorable! Is there anyone on this plane who can make me feel like a WOMAN?"
For a moment there is silence. Everyone has forgotten their own peril. They all stare, riveted, at the desperate woman in the front of the plane. Then a Redneck from Arkansas stands up in the rear of the plane. He is handsome, tall, well build, with dark brown hair and hazel eyes.
He starts to walk slowly up the aisle, unbuttoning his shirt one button at a time......
No one moves..........
He removes his shirt...............
Muscles ripple across his chest............
She gasps.............
He whispers................

"Iron this...then get me a beer.

=======

Yeah that's a good one. I used that in a video when the Mona Snoopy wars were in full swing, have a look:

Thanks, Peter... I can do that, actually, was going to do that but had not gotten to the forums yet.

as for Jo.... she can also try using a Neutral Density filter to cut out some of the light she is going to receive with an f8

Question for you oh wise one. You have the same camera as me right? (or should that be, I've got the same one as you as you bought yours first). Have you tried to do any of those silky water shots? Only I had a quick word with Dave about it and looked at his tutorial and it mentions that you realy need to manage an aperture of greater than F8 which seems to be the max limit on the Fuji S8000? Just wondering if you've managed it yet, or if I need to actually *read the manual* lol (what can I say, I never read manuals for technology until I'm so stuck and frustrated I want to smash things). Stubborn beggar me. Hope you're having a good week there. The sun's shining here so I'm a smilin. Jo (not Fujo) x

========

Hi Rastus,

I had a look at that tutorial too, it's a beauty. To compensate for only going to F8 you could try dropping the ISO to 64, and experiment with different shutter speeds. The camera doesn't have a cable release so you'll have to be careful with your tripod when you shoot.

Hi Peter
I found it - yyyesss:)! But - I think I messed my welcome page up big time. I think I have deleted my editing field. Before I read your last answer I deleted one line of the code that I had copied from someone else's source. Now I have a blanc square below the edit button and when I click on the edit button, the white editing field doesen't come up at all, instead the grey impressum bar on the bottom moves up to the top. I tried everything, even restarted my computer (my graphic card thanked me for that:)) but I still can't edit my welcome page:(
Thank you very much for your help though.

I will have to ask the Fotki team now if they can sort the mess I made out. How embarrassing!

Take care and God bless

It's Fuji and Jo combined.....and they give YOU 5 stars *tuts* :-p

Hope all's well with you mate. I think Im suffering contest overload so might skip a couple and let everyone play in between the scrapping, I can't keep up with it all. Think I'll go back to being a hippy, waving the peace sign around. Right, off to talk to the flowers. x

HA!!!! in your dreams sweetness lol. Besides, I'm mixing and matching with not 1 but 2 cameras at the moment so surely that should boost my rating? no? ah, ok then.

And whats wrong with the saw movies? philistine! ;)

=========

I'm joking about the saw movies, I just picked them of your list of movies you like, not my cup of tea, but my boys loved them. Your Fuji camera is the same as mine, a great little composite that one. Smokin zoom.

Explanation required. How come you have a 5 star rating. Do you have talents I have yet to discover? *wink* lol. Hope alls well with you mate. Jo. x

=========

Hi Jo,

Yes I enquired about the rating system too, and this is what they said:

"Fotki's new rating system is based on a combination of factors to give the fotkins an idea of the value of a particular fotkin to the wider community. Someone with a 5 star rating for example would have to be stunningly good looking, have photo albums full of the most exquisite images & be exceedingly wise and bountiful."

I was rather surprised to notice that they had rated my fotki with 5 stars.

I was a little surprised to read the explanation for some of the lower rankings:

"A typical 3 star fotkin would be someone who would use for example a camera like the Sanyo Xacti vpcc6e with the resultant bodgy images. Someone who admits to enjoying the Saw movies and most especially anyone who lives in England."

I hope that answers your question dearest Jo, a little strange but that should suit an eclectic type like yourself!!

...And roadkill it certainly was - heading into the prevailing wind, I could smell the thing a mile before I reached it, even *with* the aircon blasting on full!

You know it's an amazing world of coincidence sometimes. I not only used to live 25 minutes from Ironbridge (out on Wenlock Edge towards Church Stretton) but I've done a *lot* of work there and for two years held a small industrial craft unit there in one of the numerous visitor centres. Great place, steeped in history of course (and not *just* the Industrial Revolution stuff but way beyond that) and just visually stunning with the River Severn running through the centre. If you ever get over, you'll spend your entire time taking photographs - visual fascination abounds!

Cheers. Alf.

Hi Peter.

Here´s a link to the result in the 3rd GP this year.
From a temporary track(in Sweden(football)),,, and the race was loaded with crashes and other incidents.
I saw it on TV but it became a looooong evening.

Cheers Anne-Marie
