Thanks Peter, He is very good photoprapher, I like it a lot. I wanted to submit a comment but it didn`t work. Also the comments on the entries, I see others can, it is unfair ;-)
Regards from the cheeky Dutch girl :-))
Ps. I read Viv `s writing, ''They constantly give me the message: You are not quite done! You need to be logged on to submit''. I have the same problems.
Hi Peter, Thanks for the article on Perry. I've be into Alaska when the A$ bought 48c US. A truly awe inspiring country with a wonderful display of photographers work at the markets in Anchorage . All the very best, Charlie
Thanks for the email and the replies....:) Many members do not have their avatars anymore also.... Oh well, I hope they can sort this out soon.... Viviane
Thank you, Peter, for your nice comment on my entry in the weekly contest. Unfortunately I cannot reply there, or indeed give a comment to your very good entry, as fotki are not allowing me to do so. I hope they get their finger out and fix this quickly, as it is spoiling the competitions for a lot of people. Good luck with your entry. Slainte Myra
They constantly give me the message: You are not quite done! You need to be logged on to submit....I AM....HELLO! This is soooooo frustrating as it happens all the time, one day this feature works and the others do not and the next day it is vice versa.... I do not really need new features here Peter...the only thing I want is that the bad ones become slightly better and that they please stay away from things that work.... Not too much asked I hope? LOL Anyway...I do not have time for this...it eats away all my free time and does not help relaxing...and that is why I am here. Enough stuff on my plate already ...so I feel I have done enough now....I sent them 3 messages and they still think I am the only one suffering....???? You replied questions on this made by others also so why is it just my account FOTKI notices?
well...it is not now Peter...it is all a mess right now, I can hardly do a thing. I noticed that I am not the only one...in the forum you replied but I cannot leave a comment or anything so it is really messed up this time. Not even on my own pictures in the contest....

I just went in and tried it. The first time it wouldn't let me, so I refreshed the page and then it let me, I tried a few places, I don't know why it is letting me and not you ?!
Hi Peter, Many thanks for those links to Al Perry's work - a worthwhile read, really interesting, and great to benefit from other people's wisdom and experience! All the best, Chris
Firstly, a belated happy birthday ! hope yours was not as windy as ours ! but having said that, wouldn't have had the opportunity to capture some great images ! this was a last minute replacement of a boring, back-pager (which I'll slip in some other time !) Funny, the gulls were hovering all the while and I wondered if they weren't catching flying fish !
Hey mate Thanks for the article on Al Perry. Do you know, it's guys like him that inspire me to constantly strive for improvement ! When I first started, I joked that there are as many things to remember when taking a photo as there are at the top of your golf backswing. I was wrong, there are many more "little things" that make up "the perfect golf swing of photography" ! but the difference is that we all use basically a box that captures light and Mother Nature ! Physical prowess and mental toughness are not issues in our game ! it is all out there for us to grasp, with equal opportunities (give or take a lense or two !) The bottom line is, we will get out of photography what we put in, in direct proportion ! and now I'm off to buy some bug spray !
Absolutely love nature shots! All genres interest me and anything the masters have laid before me, I should certainly follow! Great resources and inspiration!
Peter, I cannot comment or reply your comment in the Five contest ...is it just (again) my account or do you have the same issues...? And,,,!!!!!happy belated birthday mate! I just did not realise....:)
illusions are somehow similar to dreams, they need their time and may open up ... and ... realism must not always meet illusion ;-) ... am very happy that you kept a place for both ...
