Hey Christel,

Thanks mate. yeah a bad week for the Aussies, first the close shave in the Bledisloe, then the flogging in the Ashes then today we missed out on the Miss Universe for which our girl was a hot favourite. Ah well bring on the one dayers and the 20/20, we can't do any worse eh ?!

"We few, we happy few, we band of brothers.
For he today that hits the ball with me shall be my brother; be ne'er so vile, this day shall gentle his condition.
And gentlemen in England now abed shall think themselves accursed they were not here, And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks that batted here with us upon this Ashes day."

Choose not to afford sky and the bbc only afford radio "BallByBall" commentry!!
I sometimes see the "Abbridged version " on our channel 5 but it is a bit like 20/20crikkyball!!
Dinner time and you are doing well ( 2 wickets per session )

Yeah I paid for a satellite dish that tunes into the Optus D2 satellite and gets a bunch of free to air programming, mainly the Christian content I'm interested in, which is quite good, at $240 Aussie dollars total cost, one of the best investments I've ever made. Other than that we just get free to air. We are getting more digital channels over here now, I guess you guys have a more advanced setup over there than we do here.

As for doing well, I am an optimist but we have a huge battle on our hands after Broad destroyed us last innings, & you have 1 1/2 days to do us in !!

Yeah he was in a class of his own eh !! We sure miss him now, mind you he's making a good fist of commentating & of course the IPL in India. I don't know if he's commentating on the telecast you get, but he's on ours.

You mean the old adversary who cannot forgive himself for making the poor who stole food to live , go to lovely Australia to live and the rest of use arrogant self righteous stay here !!!!!

Today`s the day big boy with 2 day`s of sunshine available , let battle commence - only the brave go over the top and as each field is set a test is set , each ball is fired a test is asked , each willow is swung a test , atest , atest...then as each shot comes at us a test is set - of fielder , of captain , of runner , of wicket keeper , of umpires Testing Testing - let arrogance and momentary flippancy be subdude -
our teams of galantry tested for their nobility - to become worthy to hold THE ASHES

Ah yes Punter & the Huss in at the moment, we are in good hands, a very tall order in front of us but never fear, we can do it !!

Fair comment about the pitch - But consider this
how many tsts over the last few years go to 5 days , also the regular over rate . also the regular wearing of helmets....
(BTW "Johnson is not a happy bunny" says CMJ)
So let`s test the batsmen AND (broard is out) - Bugger I forget my train of thought ...AH england`s second innins total and aus first innings
........i do not think it is the pitch - With Pontin`s choice of bowlers (no special spinner to sacrifice a fasty) and the attitude the first day tends to sujest , you were setting yourselves out for a draw???
.............regards 417 the lead AND 19/18 rugger..(indisciplin decides the rugger AND may yet decide the TEST)
.....................r

========

No the point with the pitch is that the curator prepared a spin friendly pitch knowing that Aust were likely to pick seamers again as in the last Test, therefore giving the poms an advantage, but I'm only joshing with you, all's fair in love & war as they say. You guys just played better than us & deserve the win, good luck to you. You have the bragging rights mate !!
