Congratulations on the 12th place in the Photoshopping: thinking outside the box. I thought your entry had such beautiful strong rich colors. I almost missed the frame at first, which is good, as a frame should enhance the photo, not detract, as you have mentioned. One thing I like here, is that we learn from each other and I have seen some very interesting and wonderful entries in this contest. I don't always agree with the placing of some of the photos, but that's my opinion.
I just took a quick look at your St Peterburg allbum I had the opportunity to visit there in May of 2001 and loved it. I still haven't put all of my pictures up from then, as I was using a small film camera and I have to scan them in now. Eventually I may finish.....

I missed your frame in the frames contest at first (my fault - small computer screen and not much time to spend looking at and voting on all the entries). But when the explanation came in I could see how you had framed the lovely image.

I couldn't figure out the layers very easily in my photo editing programme but your very clear, very simple explantion has made it very much easier for me to experiment with using layers. Thank you for taking the time to put the explanation in.
