I usually wait until after the contest is over to get back to my wonderful fellow photographers who voted for my photo in the architecture contest. I do thank you so much for your vote.
Thank you for your kind words and your vote on my photo submission in Architectural contest. Fotki contests are great ways for members around the world to meet and learn from each other, though, any improvement on the format would be most welcome. Photography is my beloved hobby and I am wholeheartedly appreciative that those frozen moments captured (or digitized) are enjoyed by you and others. Great comment on that roof top thing. ;)
Thank you for your vote on my Architecture contest. This is the Main Street train station here in Richmond, Va. Very old & beautiful. Still running even after opening back in 1901. :) Huggies, Julie
Hey Olka. I just want to thank you for sharing the Scotland pictures, I looked at every single picture, and I think I’m gonna do it again. Wonderful shots.
For the record, the tones in the shot I entered are not the result of an edit, but rather from shooting the image with the camera's white balance set for incandescent light while all of the light in the scene was from the mid-day sun through the skylights. Since incandescent tungsten light is yellow in nature, that white balance setting counterbalances by toning everything blue. In normal, white, light that results in an overall blue tone to the image, which I felt was appropriate for the clean dramatic lines of the Getty Center's architecture.
