Hope all is going well with you. We're hanging in there with my hubby starting his new job at entry level. Unfortunately, once he is elligable for insurance, he'll be bringing home less than when he was on unemployment. Sad, but patience, I guess. Atleast we have food! ( ;

Hi Nancy, To answer your question. We Celebrate these holidays in Australia...
Australia Day (January26th) (Founding Of Australia by Captain Cook in 1788) Easter Anzac Day (ANZAC Day – 25 April – is probably Australia's most important national occasion. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. Nowadays, we also have the men and women who fought in WW2, Korea and Vietnam, march in the Anzac Day Parade.) Queen's Birthday (June) (The Queen is Australia's Monarch. All Commonwealth Countries celebrate her Birthday) Bank Holiday (1st Monday in August) Labour Day (Different dates in different States) Christmas Day Boxing Day New Year's Day
Some States, and Cities, in Australia also have their own Public Holiday. A lot fall on different days of the year.
Then there's St. Valentine's Day & St. Patrick's Day.
I think that's all. I hope I didn't leave one out. LOL Have a great day. Hugs, Cat
The only resembling Halloween is the Carnival which traditionally meant people fasted from meat for 40 days before Easter and on different days they will have processions and parties wearing costumes. Each neighbourhood has such processions but the most famous ones are held in places like Patra. We do have a huge American community here that hold Halloween parties at the Embassy and privately but for the most of it we seldom witness it here. So wishing you a great weekend and many blessings
Hi Nancy, We don't celebrate Halloween in Australia either, but I do love to send Greetings to my American Friends. I hope you have a Great Halloween!!! Hugs, Cathie
