Thank you very much for your message, and your generous vote. Your entry was very touching, as was your message about parents aging. It's difficult indeed, I'm very grateful my mom is so youtful in her outlook and her artistic spirit keeps her fun and fashionable, very much ahead of the times, much more than me. I always think if she's so young, then there's hope for me too! :-) All best, Joanna
Hi Anneke Thanks for your message, I was pleased with 10th. Your photo was good, and had a good story to it, and you should have done better. Slainte Myra
Thanks for the congrats. Your photo and description really moved me, and I am sorry you had to read what that idiot Roma wrote as a comment. I went to his site the other day and left a tongue in cheek comment but he was probably too simple to work it out. I just went there again, but he lacks the courage to leave his guest book open, so I guess a few people have told him to pull his head in.
I notice that everyone else appreciated your photo and the sentiment behind it. Thank you for sharing a personal photo with us with some real meaning.
The camera, always ready, waits patiently for its thousandth of a second of fame. It captures a bit of the birthday party, and the summer flowers, the winter's frost, the cities travelled, and the dance recital. But its greatest value lies in what is never caught on film or memory card; its true value is that it forces the eye to search hungrily, wanting never to miss the great picture and forcing the eye to see so much more than would ever be noticed if not for the hunt. Taking the picture is certainly a great pleasure, but SEARCHING for the picture is like fine-tuning life itself. Thanks for your vote; when you have a moment come look at a few of my other 15000 moments. Joel
