I have beeln looking through your photos and you have had amazing results!!! You're hair is beautiful.  Do you still use the Wanakee products?  Did you find their products helpful while you were using them? or did you just use their 'methods'?  Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

      THanks,
I never used her products by the time I found that link she wasn't heading the company anymore but the tips are very helpful and I used all of them when starting out with damaged hair, now I just use moisturizing daily and protective styling.  I don't think you have to trim as often if your hairs healthy and you keep it moisturized and tucked away. I sometimes do s&d search and destroy on the splits I see, but now I hardly do that anymore either.  I'm just following my regimen.

Keep up the good work Lucia. Your hair toys are nice and you wear them nicely.

How did you get your hair thicker?
My hair's naturally thick, as it gets longer and the natural layers even up it thickens up. I also help it along by taking my vits, scalp massages, protective styles, DC, and trimming to keep the ends healthy. I will maintain once I reach HL then you'll really see some thickness. LOL

Your hair is looking thicker and long in your updates. I know you mentioned a few months ago that you were having retention issue. How are things going now? How did you tweak your regimen? Happy hair growing.

      TY :)
My ends are much better now, I did slack off the last couple months in 09, I didn't do all my DC treatments, and didn't keep up on my moisture under the weave. Also I weaved up right after doing my 1st BKT, I think that was part of my problem, you really should DC, moisturize after a BKT. It's easier at this length to have my hair out and be able to get to it and Dc, oil the ends or just co-wash and bun if I'm lazy.
I've been co-washing more often, 2x/week or more depends on how I feel and the weather if it's really cold then 1x/week and I DC weekly. I also added EVOO with some EVCO and used it for my daily moisture/seal routine and no weaves, installs, phony-ponys, etc... I don't want any extra tension or stress on my hair now, just bun/ponytail is my PS. I think my hairs thickening up and going to have a major growth spurt very soon.

Thank you. :-) For some odd reason, my hair seems to thrive with daily rinses.

I live in the midwest and it can get pretty cold over here. What I do is co wash later in the day after I've finished going out. That way I can give my hair time to dry for the next day when I go out again.

I now use EVOO and Aussie Moist conditioner. That's all I use. Since using EVOO, I've found that I've been using a lot less Aussie Moist though. After I've finished co/water washing I divide my hair into two sections as if I'm making two ponytails and use about about a quarter (or sometimes two quarters) sized amount of Aussie Moist conditioner on both sections. Then, I follow that with a quarter sized amount of EVOO on both sections. And I don't rinse any of this out. As a result, my hair dries much faster. I think cones make my hair dry slower.

Since my hair dries faster, I don't mind daily co washing. I'm considering using VO5 and EVOO instead of the Aussie Moist. Since VO5 has no cones, my hair should dry super quick. I love Aussie Moist conditioner still, but I just want my hair to dry faster. Walking around with wet hair, especially during the winter, is not for me, lol!
