Thanks Gypsy

Main thing here was the lovely branches,,,(still from the same pier)
but I guess without the setting sun it hadn´t been the same,
of course not even visible.
Warm Christmas-hugs~~ Anne-Marie ~~

Hi Gypsy I can't thank you enough for the tip on the collage program. I had so much fun doing them, I kind of got carried away LOL. When I first saw yours, I thought: what a great idea it was to have a short fun photo summery for "drive by" visitors to ones albums.

Hi Gypsy

We still have the greyest of grey days here in the south of the country.
And it will remain that way for the rest of the year.
It´s been like this for at least 8 weeks now and the meterologs calls it
a saucepan lid lying over us.

Way up north it´s been really "warm" for the season some days now
and Nikkaluokta had + 11 yesterday, and a lapp/same walked around in the green grass and was not happy about it.
It aught to be at least -25 and lots of snow as it was some weeks ago up there now.

In Skåne it was below zero at the same time.

I guess the middle of the country(around Dalarna) has a normal season with snow and normal temperature.

Everything is ok here and I´m really happy for your ice,,,better than greyness.
I know it will visit here too, I´ll just have to wait patiently until January.

Have nice and cozy Holidays and take a gentle step into 2008.

Cheers to you both; Anne-Marie

Hi Gypsy
Thanks you so much for the Corel Snapfire info! It is indeed fun and easy! I downloaded the free trial sample and may purchase the program! I checked out Petraz's collages and they are fantastic and something to aspire to.

The Muslim district colorful houses were not really part of the tour but when we first went through the area, many of us wanted to go back later and take photos. Our bus driver dropped us off nearby and we walked through and took the photos and he picked us up on the other side of the area. I took the liberty to remove certain objects in a few photos so they would not interfer with the colorful houses. The people that live there are used to tourists facination and do not mind the attention. If one was on their own it would be no problem to take photos.

The Mitchell Plain project is sponsered by the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden where we bought plants for the children to place in their gardens. This side trip was not part of the original tour but was definitely a wonderful bonus. I would assume (not 100%) thet anyone could go there to see the gardens but an organized tour would have to be arranged. The Mitchell Plain area is subject to a lot of crime so things are generally locked up. We had a great gal from Capetown who arranged all of this. If you are interested, I can give you her name and email.

Hi Gypsy

and thanks for your kind words about my summer-picture.
I captured these two whilst biking between Sjötorp and Askevik
early this summer.

Best time of the year to me,,,we have had greyness for sooooo
many weeks now and it´s boring.
I´d rather have coldness and snow,,,,but it´s not in sight here.

Enjoy this evening; Anne-Marie

Hi!

Indeed, the Xmas market in Monschau is very nice. More than the market itself, the location and the atmosphere really adds to it, right?

Around Aachen I believe there's nothing more. Düren has also a Xmas market but I don't know if it's any good. If you go down further to Bad Wimpfen (2h30 from Aachen) you'd really enjoy it. Cologne is also ok although there are too many people. I believe there are a few places there distributed over the city.

I was recently in Münster. It was also nice. More food and less handcraft but still nice visiting if you don't want to go too far.

Cheers!

Thanks Gypsy

This is from a walk a nice and frosty morning(around 10.00h).
We don´t have daylight until then this dark time of the year.
It was a very nice walk and I hope you didn´t get frozen even with ice in the canal.
(We biked right here in June.)

Have a nice and bright weekend~~Anne-Marie
